V good vintage early JW youngs wide drum beaudex salmon fly fishing reel 4"
for sale here is a very nice early model beaudex by JW youngs. Rarer 4" size with 1.25" wider drum, rear tension, patented early ergo grip handle, twin checks, left or right wind, reversible lineguide with no line marks at all, ebonite centre boss has no cracks, 2 screw drum release, unfiled and straight foot, reel is very good undamaged with no buckles and aside from a little paint loss its a lovely reel with good check, nice example, built in january 1964 and factory date stamped inside.please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week.

Vintage Shakespeare Noris Beaudex Salmon Fly Reel with Case.
TThis is a good working example of the Shakespeare Noris. Beaudex, 4 1/4" Salmon Fly Reel. The finish to the outside of the reel is a bit worn and is flaking in places. This was quite a regular occurance with this model of reel and the coating Shakespeare used. The reel is equipped with an adjustable ratchet. There is a Salmon Fly Line on the reel but I do not know its rating or integrity. Please ask any questions before bidding. POSTAGE: I will whenever possible post your item within 24hours of payment. for sale here is a very nice little early grey finish beaudex made by JW youngs. Trout or light salmon sized 3.75" size with 7/8ths" wide drum, circa pre 1960, rear tension, left or right wind, ebonite centre boss has no cracks, 2 screw drum release, square lineguard(RHW only) with no burns at all, unfiled and straight foot, reel is very good undamaged with no buckles its a lovely little clean and tight reel to use and with good strong check, most paint intact with only very minor wear on rims as can be seen, please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week.

JW Young & Sons Beaudex Sea Trout or Salmon Fly Reel, excellent classic item
Here we have a smooth working example of the JW Young& Sons Beaudex Salmon or Sea Trout Fly Reel. Really excellent British fly reel, three and a half inches in diameter, with the wider arbour one and a half inches in overall depth. A real quality classic item, probably over 50 years old now but in excellent condition, with just a little rubbing wear paint loss from use. This reel comes with a nice after-market Bickerdyke Line Guard This fine looking reel in black works just as it should including the variable check lever(no feeling of wear here) and quick release spool. These reels were I believe made in the 1950's and 1960's by the JW Young& Sons factory in Redditch. The reel is loaded up with an unknown older fly line. A classic alloy fly reel for the collector or just as it should be for catching fish.

Vintage JW Youngs Beaudex Salmon Fishing Reel 4" Lineguard & Spare Spool + Case
The reel is in very good but used condition. It has a small amount of paint missing, the regulator works fine. Both spool come loaded with salmon fishing line. Has some details on a label attached to the case, the line looks in good condition. Nice reel with a lot of usage left.
