It has some damage on the one side but does not effect the operation. It also has a line leveler. There is 1 Shakespeare Durango. It is in good condition and spins and turns freely. It has a reversible handle. The other Shakespeare is a Model 32 Criterion dated 1960. It has a line leveler and silencer. The other reel pictured has no names or markings. It works very hard. This is a good example of a Shakespeare( England) Beaulite ... more4¼" salmon fly reel constructed of an alloy spool. With a grey paint finish, and a dark grey bakelite back. In excellent working condition with just a little grey paint flaking from the edge of the spool. Has plenty of backing already wound onto the spool and weighs 303 grams in total without a fly line. There is a click ratchet. With a regulator on the back, though cannot really see that much difference when moving the regulator. We all love to hear the sound of a screaming reel so this will not disappoint! The foot fitting. For attaching it to the rod, is chromed and in perfect condition with no bends or twists(as can sometimes occur so not allowing the reel to be fitted to the rod) The black bakelite handle is immaculate. Here we have a smooth working example of the Shakespeare J W Young& Sons Beaulite Trout fly reel. Made in England. A quality classic item in excellent used condition, minor scraping to the paintwork. This fine reel works just as it should including the permanent check and quick release spool. The reel is three and nine sixteenths inches in diameter; one and five eighths inches in overall depth. A classic English fly reel. Loaded up with unknown Fly Line line, just as it should be for catching fish.

A NICE SCARCE VINTAGE PAIR OF SHAKESPEARE FLY REELS, SUPER CONDEX + BEAULITE
Here is a nice pair of vintage fly fishing reels. They are both in good used condition with usage marking(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) They are both Shakespeare reels and there is a Super Condex in good working order with good constant check and line. Medium arbour, There is then a nice Beaudex, again with usage marking, small arbour, good working order with nice constant check but the adjuster on the side has a small piece of plastic broken off- otherwise fine. Certainly one for the collection- not many left around now. I still have one of the lowest postal structures for the items I sell if you check around. Tight lines.
