Has both wooden handles, clean thumb bar for drag and pretty good chrome as the pictures will show. The color is a kind of aqua blue/green. NOTE: I listed as repair in the title because the line eye is glued on and is not the correct piece and could be replaced or left as is for display. The reel shows wear and scratches and pitting on the chrome plating over the take-apart tubular frame. The No. 2 foot and side plates appear to be made of nickel silver. It's a nice, tight reel that could use some lube. Cranks smoothly and the click works well. Heddon got involved in reels after they purchased the tooling from B.F. Meek and Sons in 1916 and also hired their Chief Reel Designer. William Carter, Jr. This reel has the Carter patents on the tail plate, and the counterbalanced handle is similar to other Meek handles that I have seen, except that it has slanted knurling. Up for auction is a VINTAGE HEDDON SPIN PAL 200 SPINNING REEL. It comes in the ORIGINAL BOX. Which is a real dandy display box. Also has the ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION BOOKLET AND HEDDON TOOL. Both in excellent shape. Tool allows handle for right or left handed use. Pics show handle on each side. This is a RARE& UNIQUE REEL. The reel has some paint loss mainly due to laying around/tackle box? Please review the pictures thoroughly and bid accordingly. Gently Pre-Owned. This Rod and Reel Combo was given to my fiance by a local"old timer" while he was working on a job at this guys house. They are both vintage. The bamboo rod is marked"T.K.W. and although I did research this, I didn't find anything about it. I would think given that, it would make this a rather rare and unique rod. The reel however, is a Heddon 320. It is a Daisy Model with the parts having been made in JAPAN and assembled in the USA, and does come with line on it, and it is in working condition. This rod/reel combo comes as shown, there is no carrying case/bag for it. There are, however, what I would suppose are extra rod(top) pieces, as there are 5 pieces to this all together. It's really a beautiful rod, and is in overall very good vintage/antique condition, the only real noticeable is shown in the ... morephotos.
