Vintage Beaulite 3 9/16" Trout Fly Reel.
This is a working example of the J.W. Young. Beaulite Trout Fishing Reel. The reel measures 3 9/16th in diameter and has a narrow drum. The original patern was JW Young but this may be the later version produced by Shakepeare Noris. This reel has a centrally located drag adjuster which found on the backplate. Here we have a smooth working example of the Shakespeare J W Young& Sons Beaulite Trout fly reel. Made in England. A quality classic item in excellent used condition, minor scraping to the paintwork. This fine reel works just as it should including the permanent check and quick release spool. The reel is three and nine sixteenths inches in diameter; one and five eighths inches in overall depth. A classic English fly reel. Loaded up with unknown Fly Line line, just as it should be for catching fish.

A NICE SCARCE VINTAGE PAIR OF SHAKESPEARE FLY REELS, SUPER CONDEX + BEAULITE
Here is a nice pair of vintage fly fishing reels. They are both in good used condition with usage marking(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) They are both Shakespeare reels and there is a Super Condex in good working order with good constant check and line. Medium arbour, There is then a nice Beaudex, again with usage marking, small arbour, good working order with nice constant check but the adjuster on the side has a small piece of plastic broken off- otherwise fine. Certainly one for the collection- not many left around now. I still have one of the lowest postal structures for the items I sell if you check around. Tight lines. Vintage Daiwa 809 osprey J.W Young beaulite trout 1500 fly reel + spool 3.5"
J.W. Young 1500 series made for Diawa. 3.5"dia by 1.5" deep. Fly reel and spare spool both with line. In Diawa they are known as the 809 or Ospray and when Youngs sell them as the Beaulite. The line on the reel had a sticker saying it is masterline floater weight 8. The spool looks to have the same weight line. Ideal set up for sea trout or light salmon.
