It is gold in color and I believe it is the first of the Daiwa GS series considering it is"GS-1" ... moremodel. It appears to be used because of the normal wear such as paint wear/chipping. It is stamped Japan on the foot. Mark of Precision Daiwa GS-1 2 BALL BEARINGS. It spins with ease. There is some blue fishing line on the spool and I will leave it in case the buyer wants to use it or keep it. I do not know much about it but I know it has some value. I actually found an ebay auction from last year of the same model used reel that went for almost $200. I will post a picture for proof of that auction. The only thing that appears missing is the emblem cap on the top of the black spool screw. This is a nice little reel to use or add to your collection. However, the bail roller does not spin. I'm thinking it should. I put penerating oil on it but I didn't want to mar the roller up with pliers trying to free it so I just let it be. Vintage Shimano TwinPower 4000 GTX Rare Fishing Reel
Up for sale is a Classic Twinpower 4000 GTX made in Japan. This reel dates back to the early 90's and sports some of Shimano's early designs such as the first edition of AEROWRAP line Oscillation(worm gear) and also shocked to see a double spool bearing design. I recently opened this reel up and removed all the old wax like grease and hand polished each individual part then given a coat of fresh precision blue grease. This reel does not have the Super Stopper ARB bearing as it was before its time but a very reliable anti reverse Dog design which the clicking can be both heard and felt while reeling the reel. The reel also dates back before they corrected the slight wobble as all old reels have had but its still way ahead of its time. Also this reel boasts over 20lbs of drag(8kg) which is huge for an early 90's spinning reel. This ... moreis a very rare Japanese TwinPower and new back then was almost $300. It would make a great collectors reel or can go back on the water tomorrow on a vintage rod. Sorry for the story but id like to share what exactly this reel is besides a short"here's an old reel" But in fact it's a part of Shimano's fishing history. This is a Mitchell 305 5/1 ratio spinning reel made by Garcia of France. It is in excellent condition with all parts in good working order. It looks like it was used very little. There is a little paint missing along one edge. See pix#7, otherwise no flaws. I have included lots of pix so you can really see how nice it is. The box is also in excellent but not new condition. Has a little wear at corners an oil where reel lays. Extra reel looks not to be used at all. Shipping weight is 1-2lbs Priority Mail.

Hello and welcome to the auction and thank you for viewing.This is for a rare Hardy fly reel clear acrylic shop display stand with Hardy fly within castle logo.This stand was I understand made for a shop to display a Hardy reel and is estimated to date from the 1970's.I have been informed that these stands are very rare and were usually retained by Hardys.Because of this I believe that they would never have been offered for sale as a retail item.The stand measures approximately 10cm.by 10.cm.by 2cm.deep.There is an original slot for the reel foot where the reel foot locates.The slot measures 6.3cm. by 1.5cm.They appear to have been made in two sizes for larger and smaller reels.There may well have been a small pad of black padding in foam or of a similar substance for the reel foot slot where the foot of the reel sits but there is no ... morepad present however any suitable material cut to size would suffice.I plan to list a similar Hardy stand for larger reels which has a slightly bigger reel foot slot which is located in a different position.Please ignore any camera reflections in the photograph.The stand weighs 215 grams unpacked.A rare Hardy item few of which I would think are in general circulation. Mitchell Half Bail Fishing Reel with spare spool in a screw top alum can. I can see no serial number on the foot or back of the body and can not date it in the normal way. There is what looks like a w on the foot. I have included lot`s of photo`s so you can see the condition. It has been serviced and operates smoothly and could be used to fish with. Vintage and rare C.R.LEE SHEFFIELD Centrepin Fishing Reel
Very nice condition centrepin from C.R. Lee of Sheffield. The spool measures 4" diameter and 3/4" inner spool Spool and backplate are aluminium and reel foot and 12 spool bracing bars are brass. Steel spindle. A few years ago the rather make-shift spring clip which applied tension to the little spool release switch. Fell off and vanished. I replaced it by fitting 10lbs bs clear power-gum around the base of the brass spindle bush inside the spool and over the bottom of the release switch. It's worked fine for many years. This is discreet and just about be seen in the 3rd picture with the reel lying down. In Sheffield style there is no ratchet fitted. This is a very free-running centrepin and spins for about 90 secs with a good flick. A nice looking reel and not an easy one to put down! No'buy it now' Will be sent next ... moreavailable morning after payment by 1st class recorded. I will post this overseas.
