This the exact item ... moreyou will receive. Production was 1961 and introduction was 1962. It was only available for the 1962 season. This is one of the hardest reels to collect. The 2000 was one of seven of the series of free spool models. The reel was not serialized but stamped"Made in Sweden" on the foot. The large knurled aluminum knob is part of the drag system which was incorporated into the handle. By tightening the knob to a desired tension. You could apply drag washer pressure against the drive gear assembly which is similar to the conventional star drag wheel. Holding the handle still you will notice the knurled knob rotating when the fish made his run. This reel is rare to find in this condition in its original box. It is in very good used condition with slight paint loss in parts(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) It is an Abu Cardinal 6 fishing reel and is in good working order with nice smooth wind. Good bale click and working check. Back of the reel has adjustable drag and the reel has a foldable handle. This is rarely seen and c ertainly one for the collection- Rarely seen for sale. A nice looking vintage reel. ABU Cardinal 33, made in Sweden! Technical in excellent working order. Smooth gearing, perfect drag and so on and has a real slamming bail. It comes with original box/ papers/ extra spool and tool. When the anti-reverse is on it makes a gentle clicking sound. When the anti-reverse is off it’s silent in both ways. I think the pictures will tell the story of this reel! Just a musthave for the serious angler or collector. The number in the reelfoot is 760500(it's almost 40 years of age) You won't see them very often in any condition. Showing normal usagemarks you would expect from a reel this age.
