Each turn of the handle turns the drum around twice. 3 1/2" or 90mm diameter. Drum width 1" or 25mm inside the plates, weight 358gms. In excellent working order. No wear or wobble, nice crisp check and free turning handles. The grey paint finish has some damage inside the drum plates where the line goes but the outside of the reel looks really good. Vintage GEAR FLY Regular Multiplier Fly Reel c/w Spare Spool Ref: WS I am offering for auction a vintage INTREPID(Gladding) Gear Fly Regular Multiplier Fly Reel. I am uncertain of it's age. But guess it is 1960's or earlier. It is in very good condition and perfect mechanical order. With just superficial wear to the painted finish and a few feint scratches, mainly around the outer rims. The rim mounted tension adjustment is in perfect working order and the spool rotates smoothly and evenly in both directions, as does the handle. This particular model has high-speed retrieve gearing, with the spool rotating 2 3/4 time to each turn of the handle. PLEASE NOTE: This reel is supplied with a spare spool. But I am unable to detach the crank handle. I may be doing something wrong when dismantling the reel, but please bear this in mind when ... moreconsidering the value of the second spool, as I can't guarantee it fits. The spool on the reel works perfectly. Please note that one of the labels is missing from this reel. But I am certain it is an Intrepid or Gladding Gear Fly reel. The reel is loaded with fly line. But it looks as though it has been on the reel for a good while, so I do not know anything of it's history. I am guessing the reel is designed to handle line rated#7 to#9, having a diameter of about 3 1/2" P hotographs form a very important part of my description and therefore bidders are advised to study them carefully and to contact me for any additional information they may need. It is in good used condition with usage marking and working order(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It is a Garcia Mitchell multiplier reel and appears to be a mod el 602A or 602AP? The last part of the number might be missing on the label which you can make out in the pictures. Nice smooth wind, free spool and click. Very slight small cracking on the bakelite/plastic at the reel handle mount, otherwise a very nice reel, useable or collectable. Offered here is a rare Belmont No.3123600 level wind multiplier reel made by Bronson for Sears from around 1936-1941. The foot is marked'41' which presumably indicates it's year of manufacture. The reel has engraved fishing scenes to both side plates and engraved oak leaf decoration to the handle. The spool spindle has jewelled end caps. For more information on this reel. The reel is in nice condition as per photos and is in full working order with one of the crank knobs not turning and one side screw missing. It is offered here with a low price start and no reserve.
