Bakealite Trotting reel with line guard, Milward, Allcocks
Very rare bakealite reel that looks like a trotting reel it has the RARE pink ceramic line guard. A similar line guard was sold by Allcocks in their 1937 catalogue see photo number 5, but the Allcocks has the later fitted support bar on. The earlier models. As this one is, the support bar was not fitted. It is also very very similar to the Milwards float rover trotting reel and there should be some on ebay. There are no makers stickers as the Milwards usually have. So maybe it came off. This reel is in EXCELLENT condition. There are NO cracks, chips or scratches and looks to be very little used. Bakelite reel with line guard, Milward, Allcocks, Avery
Very rare bakelite reel that looks like a fly or trotting reel. It has the RARE pink ceramic line guard, a similar line guard was sold by Allcocks in their 1937 catalogue see photo number 5, but that Allcocks had the later fitted support bar on. This earlier model. The support bar was not fitted. It is also very, very similar to the Milwards float rover reel and there should be some on ebay. There are no makers stickers or marks. Hardy's Perfect vintage Fly Reel with agate ring line guard. 2 7/8 inch, Mark II
Hardy Perfect Mark II. 2 7/8 Inch, reel with agate ring bought by my grandfather, probably in the early 1930s, as illustrated in the 1931'Hardy's Anglers' Guide' Good condition but with minor damage commensurate with age- small dents in chassis rim(see photos) and a little play in the mechanism. Ratchet tension screw works well and ball bearings in good condition. Described in catalogue as"Made of'Alumin' standardized and interchangeable in all parts. very rare vintage hardy lrh lightweight fly reel with L shape line guard
here is a very rare hardy lrh lightweight fly reel with the L shape line guard. the reel comes in its original case and has a line attached that looks like a good floater. the reel works like new but has some minor rubbing from use on the rim as usual with a reel of this age but has not been abused and would make a nice addition to any collection. please see pics for condition and please ask for any more pics if needed thank you.
