vintage 4 1/2" wooden and brass rim starback centrepin reel fishing a very nice vintage 4 1/2" wooden and brass centrepin the reel is unamed. It has a brass starback and a brass rim to the spool. Bakelite handles. It is fitted with a clutch which is working well would make a nice reel to use. The drum seems to be 1" wide. In nice condition clean. The images give a good idea of condition. The varnish is little rough and the black paint on the brass winding knobs is worn. This would be very easy to restore and would make a good companion for an antique rod of the same era. RARELY SEEN IN COMBINATION WITH A SPRING LATCH, AND THE STEEL DRUM PLATE IN THE REAR OF THE DRUM. DRUM ROTATES SMOOTHLY AND THERE IS NO WARPING.
