Reel box is in fine condition. Only some slight wrinkles and shelf wear, box for spare spool is perfect. I doubt that this reel has ever been used. The very small marks on the spool rim comes most likely from handling the reel. Nothing serious, and hard to detect on such a small reel. With the spare spool mounted it´s in perfectly mint condition. These reels are quite rare I Think. Made only between 1996 and the year 2000, and the# 3/ 4 is perhaps the rarest of all sizes. this reel also comes with a serial no. so it must be from a limited production run of perhaps 1000 copies. Serial no. is 951 on this particular reel. A lightweight, high grade reel from Hardy with superb Disc drag, perfect for higher grade fiberglass fly rods like Scott. Winston, Hardy. VINTAGE HARDY MARQUIS #8/9 MULTIPLIER & 2 SPARE SPOOLS
This Hardy Marquis multiplier fly reel has given many years excellent service and is a great reel for reservoirs or other large waters. As you can see. The spool faces are in good clean condition but the back of the reel has suffered some scratches and paint loss over the years. There is no sign of damage or abuse and the mechanics are in first class order. NOTE:There is no case or lines on the reels.

Here is a nice scarce vintage fishing reel. It is in very good used condition with minimal paint loss and what appears to be light usage(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It is a Hardy Marquis 8/9 salmon reel in full working order and with Cortland Rocket taper WL8F fishing line loaded onto it. It is in lovely condition and with a nice reel case also. Not often seen for sale and highly desirable for the vintage tackle and lure collector or to use.
