Teton Tioga RA #12 Fly / Spey Reel
I used this Tioga Reel on a#8 Spey rod with a Vector Ballistic spey line(55 ft. head) It has been a great reel and they are super durable. My friend has one and it flew off his truck at 65 MPH. And minus a few small scratches it still works like a champ. It is set up to be either right or left hand retrieve by moving the clicker to the opposite side. This particular reel is out of production, but parts are still available through Teton. Unfortunately, I no longer have the box and owners manual but any info. you need is available online. I always loosened off the drag when I was done with it. I don't want to get rid of it but it doesn't work on my new rod. It includes an unknown length of backing.

This is an example of the very early#3 Wedding Cake with the additional tier only found on approx. the first 100 made. It is the frame that was used on the 28#4s that were produced before being discontinued. This reel is distinct in several ways. The drag plate and bearing are completely different than all of the other Wedding Cakes made. Including most of the 3 tier early#3s. The spool is machined differently with the raised contact area for the drag matching exactly the surface area of the drag plate cork. The spool face is machined differently as well, and uses a broader rounder headed draw bar. I believe these differences indicate that this was Gar Wood Jr.s original design and only exist on a very small# of the three tier reels. Fenwick F912 Series Fly Reel, 12-WT WF Line, HMG 12 WT 9-Foot Combo
HARD TO FIND FENWICK HMG ROD/F-SERIES F912 Rarely used. Twice, 9-Foot GFF9012-2, Two piece, 12-weight rod, with sock and Tube paired with Fenwick's top of the line F-Series F912 reel loaded with 12-wt. fly line. I used this combo off Baja and off San Diego for a total of two trips. It worked nicely for East Cape sailfish, dorado and tuna off San Diego. I'm looking into a new 8-weight for Bonefish. Permit, and cold water applications, steelhead, Alaska etc. and just don't see myself tackling bigger stuff in the near future. The line has been on the reel, in its neoprene pouch and in a ziplock for the last 5 years. It appears to be a great shape too. This combo originally went for $900+ but I would be willing to move the combo for a starting big of $325. The only item that shows any wear is the bigger rod tube due to being taped ... morefor labeling when traveling. It too is intact aside from tape residue.
