Rare Vintage Hardy"The St. George Junior" 2 9/16 Inch Fly Reel This fabulous Hardy's"St. George Junior" fly reel is in"as found" Used condition and has not been restored or repaired by us. The reel measures 2 9/16 inches across and has"The St. George Junior. Pat. No. 24245, 9261Size 3 3/8" Made By Hardy Bros. Ltd. Alnwick, England" impressed in to the back plate. The ribbed alloy foot has"Pat. No. 272409" impressed into the side, this is sturdy and well attached, as is the ebonite handle. The agate lined line guide appears to a replacement and there is a hairline crack across the rim by the line guide, however the reel is still solid and ... moresturdy, the rim regulator screw moves fine. The reel revolves well with a good smooth action and there is no play when the face plate is rocked. The three screw release latch works fine. The reel has the number"12" impressed in to the rear of the spool. The reel has the usual scratches and scuffs that you would expect from the years of use. Orvis CFO III Fly Reel. I bought this little trout reel during my'Passion for Fly Fishing' period at the end of the 1990's. I can't recall ever having used it.Mainly because I never really had a small trout rod that it paired well with. I am told these were made for Orvis by Hardy.And that wouldn't surprise me,as the quality is simllar. The reel measures 3 inches in diameter and is right hand wind.I believe it can by changed to left hand wind,but I'm not sure how you do it. It has an adjustable drag. The only thing that kept me from grading this reel as excellent is that the prior owner ground some metal from the reel foot to make it fit his rod better. See further description below. Huisman. Leen, 2/3, Lightweight Classic” titanium fly reel. This is an un-used example of the titanium reel made by LH Design for a DTF 2 or 3 fly line. These reels were numbered, and this one is#001, the first in the series. It measures 2 ¾” x 5/8” cleverly designed with an offset foot and a unique, light weight, titanium wire line guard. This reel does not have an adjustable drag, which would make no sense for a reel of this nature, but it does have the smoothest purr-like click that I have seen in a long time. This unusual reel feels the same from left or right hand winding, in terms of the resistance to the click, and can be used both ways. This is an essentially new reel, and it comes in the correct lambs wool soft case.

This is one of the most collectible Hardy reels ever made, with only 250 being made primarily for the Japanese market. Teardrop porting and so, so smooth(by far the smoothest Bougle I have ever owned and that's a few! it is watch like in it's precision) This is not shiny at all like the newer Bougles. The reel has been fished so is not mint- few rub marks on the reel seat. The handle knob looks slightly off centre if looked at from certain angles but it came that way(photos don't show it up) and there is a slight imperfection in the anodising about a pinhead size(see photo) once again. Came that way. The nickel silver centre screw has been opened a few times(see photo) Finally, the box has a few minor tears on the edges(see photos) ... moreand the burgundy reel case is not mint- best to cover all aspects seeing this is such a collectible reel. Nice SHAKESPEARE 'SPEEDEX' 3 1/4" Lightweight Fly Reel
Rare 3 1/4" SPEEDEX Multiplier Fly Reel This reel is in nice condition and is getting quite rare as it measures 3 1/4ins in diameter with a spool width of 5/8in. Most Speedex are 3 1/2in and somewhat heavy. This multiplier reel also has a ventilated back and spool and is therefore light. It will hold an 6wt. line with adequate backing and line tension is controlled by the teardrop knob on the backplate. The reel. Which is currently left hand wind, has some yellow backing loaded on it. An unusual reel. Suited to today's lightweight rods, with many years of life left in it.

It measures 3 3/16ins in diameter with a spool width of 9/16in. and will hold up to a DT5F or WF6F line. The reel can be used either left or right hand wind(this is achieved by simply turning the pawl over) and has a good'palming' rim. The reel is heavily ventilated and is therefore light and would complement today's modern graphite rods. A great little reel for fishing brooks. Small streams and rivers.

Still structurally and mechanically sound throughout. There are indeed some minor surface scratches, light scrapes, and polished rubs present about reel and spools' rimmed edges and face to note, but overall, the original finish appears to have held up exceptionally well. A quick testing of the reel's traditional dual-spring and dual-check drag confirms modest increasing tension throughout its adjustable range. With no stutter, stick, or hesitation noted, and a thorough inspection of the reel's interior confirms all internal parts still perfectly intact and fully functional, with no excessive residue build up, tarnishing, or oxidization of component pieces found. The line guard and reel foot both still appear straight and tight with no signs of warp or excessive wear either. And the handles and spool-release mechanisms were confirmed still functioning perfectly without issue across the entire set as well. A little Henry's Fork juju is now infused into the metal, but you wouldn't know it unless I told the story. Remains in absolute pristine, near MINT condition. Has only one, pinpoint mark on the frame side which was actually on the reel when I obtained it. Look really hard and you might see it in the picture. This auction is for a Hardy LRH Lightweight Fly Reel. Original Case and Spool of Fly Line(3/4/5) with Loop End all in excellent to near mint condition. The Classic Fly Reel made in England has the Hardy spring& pawl click-check drag mechanism regulated by a rim mounted screw and can be easily changed for either right or left hand retrieve. The quick change spool is secured by a finger lever latch with a two screw cover, a one screw line guide and the foot is a smooth alloy type held to frame by two rivets. The reel dates somewhere between the late 1960’s to early 1970’s and comes with its original blue and cream Hardy Bros. padded case that is in mint condition showing little overall use. Cosmetically, it has minor finish wear on the body mostly around the edges, some very minor scratches on side plate, is super clean on inside and has ... moregenerally been kept in wonderful shape. Daisy Heddon 320 Fly Reel Japan/USA Hardy Lightweight Design Vintage with Line
This is a vintage Daisy Heddon Model 320 Fly Reel. It is in excellent working condition with no mechanical problems. Look at all the photos for the cosmetic condition. Note that the reel and spool were marked in black. But this appears to be black nail polish, which can be fairly easily scraped off with a fingernail without marring the reel's finish. I will leave finishing that job to the new owner. The(very) old fly line(a Scientific Anglers Air Cel Wet Tip WF-6-F/S) and old backing are included, but may not be fishable. It is now set up for left-hand wind, but can be easily changed to right-hand wind. This classic reel belonged to my Dad, and I remember him buying a couple of these as spares in the 1960's, and this one, while more than 50 years old, likely wasn't used very much. I managed to lose the one he gave me at some point ... moreabout 30 years ago. The reel frame is 3 1/2 inches in outside diameter and 1 inch wide. The spool is 3 1/8 inches in outside diameter and 3/4 inch wide. What is interesting about these reels is that they were assembled in the USA out of parts made in Japan(as marked on the reel foot) and they were high quality but relatively inexpensive reels. As you can see, the Heddon 320 is essentially a copy of the classic Hardy Lightweight fly reel. I am not sure if parts are interchangeable. These Heddon 320's are quite rare(certainly more rare than the Hardy reels) and extremely hard to find in this condition. An essential for your collection, even if you only collect Hardy reels, but the reel can also be used for any fresh-water fly fishing. Daisy Heddon 310 Fly Reel Japan/USA Hardy Lightweight Design Vintage with Line
This is a vintage Daisy Heddon Model 310 Fly Reel. It is in excellent working condition with no mechanical problems. Going through my dad's inventory since he passed away. I found this fly reel. Dad like to fish, but he never fly fished much- thus this reel is in very good condition. What is interesting about these reels is that they were assembled in the USA out of parts made in Japan(as marked on the reel foot) And they were high quality but relatively inexpensive reels. As you can see, the Heddon 310 is essentially a copy of the classic Hardy Lightweight fly reel. I am not sure if parts are interchangeable. These Heddon 310's are quite rare(certainly more rare than the Hardy reels) and extremely hard to find in this condition. HARDY LRH LIGHTWEIGHT 2 SCREW LINE GUARD REEL w/ SPARE SPOOL AND FLY LINES
Vintage. English made Hardy LRH Lightweight 2 Screw Line Guard Reel. Currently set up for left hand retrieve but easily convertible. Reel is functionally flawless with some cosmetic wear and comes with the original case. Also included is a spare spool with case. Both spools have backing and fly lines: 1) One spool is loaded with a SA Ultra 4. DT 5wt floating. Buckskin(light tan- ish) color. The line was used only once. The Buckskin color is really nice in that while subdued. It is still easy to see. 2) The second spool is loaded with a WF 5wt floating. Light blue/dun color. The line is in excellent condition. The line color is another pleasant tone that is easy to see but still subtle. Free shipping within continental US.

Hardy Bros. First model LRH lightweight fly reel. This 3 ¼” x ¾” reel has the Lshaped nickel silver line guard that is set up for RHW. It has the early three-screw latch and the earlier Mark II adjustable drag with the extra spring and pawl that cannot be switched to LHW. This light-in-the-hand reel has been used sparingly, and shows minor enamel loss. And there are no mechanical problems at all. This early version of the lightweight series has a full-length ribbed aluminum foot. And was built when reels were bench made. And the sound and tolerances are evident here. Vintage Hardy Bros. LTD. The Lightweight" Fly Reel. This 3 1/8" diameter. 3/4" wide spool, trout reel preceded the Hardy Lightweight series which includes the"Flyweight" Featherweight" LRH Lightweight" Princess" St.Aidan" and the"Zenith" This reel is in excellent mechanical condition. It comes with pink fly line which is in excellent condition. I believe the line is Cortland 444 DT-5/6-F. The spool and the frame of the reel show some light scratches and it appears that there has been some touch up to the paint on the frame. The reel is as I found it.
