Here is a decent condition. Used, Ross Gunnison 2 fly fishing reel. This is for 4, 5, and 6 weight lines. The capacities can be found on the Ross website. This is a post 1998 manufacture and style. There are light scratches around the edges, but overall it's not all that bad. No real damage other than cosmetics. I tried to take pics of all the scratches. Foot is fine. Drag works and tightens/loosens progressively. It is stored with the drag released. Currently set up for left hand retrieve, but is easily converted to right had retrieve if you so desire. There is no backing, no line, no case, no pouch, just the reel. Great reel to use and not feel bad about laying down ... moreon a rock or stream side. Payment and shipping terms: Paypal only. The Jr model is an excellent light weight reel sized for a very small and light weight rod.say a 1 to 2 wieght and possibly a very short 3 weight. Ross Gunnison G-2 Spool (Pre-'98) with Fly Line
This spool is for a pre-1998 Ross Gunnison G-2(the item being offered for sale is just a spool. Not an entire reel) The spool is in excellent condition overall, although there are a couple of very small faint marks around the Ross logo(see the first two photos) and another small mark on the edge/outer rim(see the last photo) if you can't make out the marks in the photos, it's because they are quite small and require a close inspection to notice(the one on the outer rim/edge probably is more noticeable than the ones around the logo) The spool has backing and a fly line, although I am unsure of the brand, weight or age of the line. The prior owner believed it was an Orvis Wonderline, most likely a WF5, but was unsure. I have not examined the entire line(I have not fished with the spool) but I did not notice any cracks in the first couple ... moreof feet and it appears to be in good condition. The manufactured loop has been cut off, but it is set up for a loop-to-loop connection as approximately 12" of tippet has been attached to the line with a perfection loop at the end. For Sale: Ross Gunnison G-2 Fly Reel with Spare Spool - Pre 98 Series
Up for Auction: Ross Gunnison G-2 Fly Reel with Spare Spool! Pre 98 Series- Line Weights 4-6- Both are Used. But in Good Condition This Ross Gunnison G-2 fly reel and spare spool were used as a demo reel at our fly shop. The reel/spool was only used on rods that customers would cast in our parking lot to test out new fly rods. The reel and spool have had a bit of use. But are in good condition overall and still have a lot of miles left on them as they are simply a bulletproof design. This is a pre-98 frame and spool. They were manufactured by Ross between 1995 and 1998. The reel has a brown Drag Disk and teardrop Clicker as well as no screws on the bottom of the spool. The Frame and Spool are bright black and have six large holes in the main reel face- see pictures(whereas the post-98 had multiple holes) The last four pictures are of the ... morespare spool. There are some minor scratches to be found on both the reel and spool(see pictures) particularly around the edges. They are both. However, structurally and functionally sound. The reel comes loaded with roughly 100 yards of 20# backing and a Scientific Anglers WF-4-F demo fly line that is still in decent condition. The spare spool also comes loaded with 100 yards of 20# backing and a weight forward fly line of an unknown weight that is in fair condition. The line on this spare spool has minimal life left in it and could be easily replaced if needed. Both the reel and spool set to left-hand retrieve. The Gunnison reel series were a famous reel in it's day and has recently been reintroduced by Ross as a limited edition. This classic pre-98 reel and spool are still beloved among anglers and bulletproof. Suited for a 4, 5 or 6-weight fly rod, this Ross Gunnison G-2 reel and spare spool would make a great addition to any anglers collection.
