This reel is used and works perfectly. It does have some scratches on the botton of the reel as can be seen in the photos. Other than these marks the reels seems to work flawlessly and has never let me down. Great product by one of the best reel manufactures out there.

I am a disabled Veteran. A member of and volunteer instructor for the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program at the Long Beach Casting Club in Long Beach, CA. A long time club member recently gave to our project director a large lot of fly fishing gear to sell to generate funds for our program. I'm tasked with selling the items. This Ross Canyon BG-5 reel has been used but it's very hard to tell. I've seen new in the box reels that looked more used than this one. There really are no marks I can find anywhere on the reel For functionality it's 10/10, cosmetic Pristine! Any questions don't hesitate to ask. This reel is in mint conditions. Not even a tiny scratch. Only used for backyard practice. Set for LH but easily convertible to RH retrieve. This is Ross Reel is a classic and hard to come by now. Coveted by Spey casters and classic flats fishers alike. This Canyon Big Game 7 was gently used and is in rear perfect condition. It has never seen the salt. Just the reel seat of a two hander. Perfect for a 10-12 weight single hander or 7-9 weight spey. The only two noticeable marks are on the frame side and are shown in the last two photos. One is a nick in the anodize on the right side of the frame shown in the second to last photo. The reel is the precursor to the Momentum Reel and has been fished some in salt but mostly in fresh water in Alaska for salmon. Reel works perfectly, and I would rate it as excellent if it were not for the boat rash on the body of the reel that I've tried to show in the photos.
