Joe built this reel for me about eight years ago for my 3 weight Leonard bamboo rod. The reel is identical in specs. to his current Mark IV. Which is slightly larger in diameter. The Mark II was the first to introduce Joe's oil cap which doubled as a"tightener" to fine tune the amount of play between the spool and reel cage(i.e. not a drag system) a great feature for butter-smooth performance. The reel is set up for RH(Joe will change to LH for nominal fee) and holds 3-4 weight lines with plenty of backing. As with all my Saraciones, this reel has been babied(used only 3 times) and remains in near mint condition, the only blemish being a slight scratch on the right rim.

Up for sale is a Nautilus Fly Reel FW#3 Black in excellent condition. Reel is set up for left hand wind with a Royal Wulff TT Triangle Taper 4 F line in excellent condition. Reel is clean. The only marks on the reel are a couple very small marks on the foot where it was mounted on a rod. Sorry no bag or pouch. The model FW#3 is one of the large arbor reels in the featherweight series from the Nautilus company. It is CNC machined from high grade T6 bar stock aluminum. The reel design is similar to the proven CCF Series and is hard anodized in a finish that is corrosion resistant and sturdy enough for any environment. The quality of engineering really shows through with little extra touches such as the knurled drag knob for extra grip in the rain or with gloves and a comfortable tapered handle that fits easily between your fingers. The 3/4 model will hold about 120 yds. of 20 lb. backing with a WF3F line, 95 yds. with a WF4F, and 70 yds. with a WF5F. This reel was made in England. The reel is in pretty nice condition. It is fully functional. With very good cosmetics. The only flaws I see is some finish wear(pictured) in one area along the edge of the back plate, and a little discoloration on the reel foot. It is spooled with backing and a fire orange WF4F line. The line probably has some age to it, but looks like it has seen minimal, if any, ... moreuse. This is the same reel as the Battenkill Mid Arbor II. It was called the Pro Guide in its first year or two of production, before switching to the Battenkill name. The reel is machined from bar-stock aluminum, with a hard anodized finish. It is a mid-arbor design, with a center line, glass composite disc drag system. The reel is a perfect size for use with 3 and 4 weight lines. The reel has seen some use. But remains in good condition. There are no issues with the mechanical condition, it works great.
