Up for auction is this BFR 3-inch Superfly model 55(made in England) fly reel and spare spool with fly lines and backing in excellent plus condition. One line appears to be a floating line and the other appears to be a sinking line. Stamped on the front of the reel it says“adjustable drag system” and the name of the reel is on the back. It is of graphite construction with a smooth alloy foot. Quick release drum latch and the drag adjustment knob is located on the back of the reel. Workhorse reel has been a favorite from Ross for years. The reel is very light and extremely dependable. It features different incoming and outgoing clicks, a small arbor to fit a generous amount of backing and is lightweight in hand compared to similar sized reels. They kept all the positives of the original: strong and rugged, smooth and reliable drag, lightweight build and a large arbor spool. Lamson Litespeed 3.5, 2012 Hard Alox II With Hard Alox I Spare Spool
I purchased the reel in Sept 2012. New. It has been gently used and well cared for. Comes with blank warranty card. Owners guide, original box, neoprene case, sticker and 30 lb Dacron backing. There are 3 tiny scratches that are all in the first photo. The spare spool is the Hard Alox generation before the reel. These are interchangeable. It has some impact rash and slight bend in the palming rim. I bought this on eBay. I filed the bottom side of the palming rim at the bend to keep it from rubbing on the reel frame. Now it is perfectly functional and smooth. It also comes with backing. Dacron. Likely 30 lb test, bit I'm not sure. There is nothing else included with the spool. This is a Lamson Konic I 3.5 reel with a spare spool. It comes loaded with an ECHO WF 8 floating line($40.00 value) and original Lamson reel bags. This is a excellent used condition Orvis Battenkill 3/4 click drag reel and spare spool. I'm the original owner and this was on my 3 weight rod. The spare spool has seen little use. It's a standard arbor design and works best for 3 or 4 weights. You could also use 2 weights due to the compact size and low weight. Both spools come with Dacron backing suitable to fit 4 weight lines. You can run a floating line on one reel and an alternate line on the other. These are simple. We'll made durable reels that can a lot of abuse. It's currently set up for left hand retrieve. But it can easily be swapped to right hand. This would also make a good back up reel. Only selling due to upgrading and deciding not to keep it in the fishing bag. I want to free up space and simplify. Look up the reel on the web to get specs. Hardy "The Perfect" 3 1/8 Antique Reel with Spare Spool
