This is an original made in England 3-3/8" Hardy Perfect Fly Reel. It was purchased new in the 1970-1980's and was used for a short time. It was then carefully stored in it's orginal padded Hardy case. And the extra spool stored in a protective bag. The reel appears in almost new condition, except for light rub marks visible next to the winding handle, and small scratches on the top surface of the polished aluminum reel foot, where it was attached to the fly rod's reel seat- please see photographs. The overall finish of the reel is in excellent conditon. The Agate Line Guard enclosed in the silver ring is smooth and polished with no defects. Chips or scratches. Mechanically the reel is in perfect operational condition. With no noticeable wear to any moving parts. There is no play or wobble in the spindle or spool. The reel will accomodate up to a#7 line with approx 200 ft of 15 lb. dacron backing. With a#6 or#5 line it will hold 100 + yards of dacron backing. If you've always wanted a classic Hardy Perfect. This is a G Loomis 3 4 5 fly reel and additional spool. It is in very good condition as far as I can tell as I am not a fisherman. It belonged to my fathers collection and he was an avid fly fisher. The spool spins cleanly with no catching. There are a few surface nicks on the edge of the reel and the foot and a very small nick on the edge of the spool but otherwise there are no defects affecting performance. The reel measures 3" and weighs 4 5/8 oz. It also comes with a neoprene case. Abel Big Game #3 AR Fly Reel, extra Spool, backing and 2 Lines - Minty Condition
Abel Big Game#3 Anti-Reverse Fly Reel. With extra Spool. Both are minty with no dings, scratches, rub rash or other visable flaws. On one spool is a Cortland 444SL WF10F Salt Water line, and on the other spool an Orvis WF12I Salt Water line. The reel does have my name engraved upon it(can be blacked out with a sharpie) In excellent working condition. Anti-Reverse reels are great if you need to use your fingers. The 3 3/4 in. diameter spool has an anodized gold finish. And is made in England. Please note this spool is only for the earlier versions of the BLA reel that uses the 3 spoke spool, and it will not fit the last version BLA III reel that uses the 4 spoke spool. An example of the reel it fits can be seen in another of my auctions. I believe this model reel was originally called the Battenkill Large Arbor 5/6, before it was renamed the III, so it should also fit the BLA 5/6 reel. The spool is in pretty nice shape. There are some little marks along the spool rim. It fits great on the reel I'm selling. ORVIS Presentation EXR I FLY Fishing REEL + Extra SPOOL For 1-3 Line WT Rod Here we have a 1980s vintage Orvis Presentation EXR I fly reel with an extra spool. Called at the time by Orvis. The"world's most elegant fly reel" the Presentation series reels were made in Argentina, precision machined from bar stock aluminum, with a hard anodized black finish. The EXR versions like this one have the exposed palming rim with raised outer lip, giving them an appearance similar to their popular, and less pricey, CFO reel. The Orvis EXR I has a 2 7/8 in. diameter spool. And a reel weight of about 3 oz. The listed line capacity is 50 yds. of 20 lb. backing with a WF3F line. It has a spring and pawl drag system, utilizing 2 independent pawls controlled by tension from a coil spring loaded yoke. Either pawl can be engaged, one controlled ... moreby the heavy(marked H) spring, and the other by the light(L) spring. Turning the drag adjustment knob changes the spring tension on the pawls. This reel is set for left hand retrieve, with the light pawl engaged. For right hand retrieve, just flip both pawls over. Spool release and re-engagement is controlled by the button in the back of the frame. The reel is in very good condition. There are rubs on the reel foot. But not much else. It has a WF3F line and a little backing on it. I believe the peach colored line is an older Cortland 444 that you may wish to replace. The empty extra spool has a 3/4 inch sliver of finish worn off on the spool lip. The reel/spool combo comes with an Orvis drawstring bag and a cordoroy bag. The Orvis pouch has stains, and both bags could use a cleaning. Ross Flywater 3 trout fishing reel. I believe Ross doesn't make this model anymore. Its a durable. Hearty reel with plenty of gusto! Comes with extra spool, two super fast sinking fly lines by Rio and approx. 200 yds of 30 lb. backing on each spool. If I remember right one of the spools has a WF7 on it and the other a WF5 but am not 100% on this. There is slight rim wear as seen in photo. This auction is for a beautiful ROSS CIMARRON C-3 FLY FISHING REEL. WITH AN EXTRA SPOOL. The reel and additional spool are in excellent cndition. This is also part of an estate we are liquadating. The condition is excellent, this reel was used very little. Both the spool on the reel and the extra spool have line on them. One is orange in color and I do not know what the weight is of this line, and the other is a light green, and in the last picture shows the sticker on the back of the spool. This is a very quality reel, and very versitable with the extra spool. I will be listing the matching St. Croix rod in another auction shortly.
