here is a beautiful little wide drum bfp in outstanding condition as you can see by looking at pics. this one is a must for the collectors or if you want to be the man on the bank it will last you a life time as its in fantastic usable condition with no wobbles or play on spindle.check works great.no line burns. it has initials ABS stamped on the face but this is the only thing i can find that may put some people off. it has full untouched alloy foot. fat handle. all 3 logos. centre oil hole. the reel has fine patina and all numbers match. a real little gem that you will not find in this condition very often Check out my!

Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 inch fly reel 60s/70s.
A really nice Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 narrow drum trout reel. It has enamel finish and is in quite nice order. I have owned it since the 1980s but think it must be of 1960's or possibly 70's date of manufacture. It has a smooth ali foot and agate line guide. Line is an 80's floating weight forward so not of any great value. The leather case is not period and is a near new modern leather sheep skin lined one. All in all a very nice reel to keep or to use. Vintage Hardy Bros. LTD The Perfect Fly Reel 3-3/8", with Extra Spool
This is an original made in England 3-3/8" Hardy Perfect Fly Reel. It was purchased new in the 1970-1980's and was used for a short time. It was then carefully stored in it's orginal padded Hardy case. And the extra spool stored in a protective bag. The reel appears in almost new condition, except for light rub marks visible next to the winding handle, and small scratches on the top surface of the polished aluminum reel foot, where it was attached to the fly rod's reel seat- please see photographs. The overall finish of the reel is in excellent conditon. The Agate Line Guard enclosed in the silver ring is smooth and polished with no defects. Chips or scratches. Mechanically the reel is in perfect operational condition. With no noticeable wear to any moving parts. There is no play or wobble in the spindle or spool. The Extra ... moreSpool is in almost perfect condition. The original padded zippered Hardy case is also in excellent condition with no damage. The Hardy Perfect Fly Reel remains one of the few fly reels to utilize ball bearings for spool rotation. Which accounts for its ultra smooth and steady winding action. The traditonal click pawls give this classic quality English reel it's unmistakable Hardy sound when a fish runs. The drag is fully adjustable by way of the knurled brass knob. The reel will accomodate up to a#7 line with approx 200 ft of 15 lb. dacron backing. With a#6 or#5 line it will hold 100 + yards of dacron backing. If you've always wanted a classic Hardy Perfect. Hardy Bros. 3 5/8” LHW perfect fly reel. This is the pre-war, blued-finish reel that essentially put Hardy on the map. It has the ribbed brass foot that has not been tampered with. This MK 11 reel(extra spring and pawl) made by Tommy Armstrong, has a very effective check, certainly enough for a reel of this size. The agate does not have a crack in it, and there are no chips or cracks in the aluminum frame or spool. The reel comes in the correct Hardy box. In LHW, these pre-war reels are very hard to find and, this one spins very smoothly on its ball bearings.

This reel is a mid to later 20th Century Hardy Perfect 3-5/8" fly reel currently set for LHW. But easily convertible to RHW by reversing the pawl. This model is without a line guard which enables the user to use it in any mode they desire. The reel is in good to very good condition cosmetically with typical paint loss befitting a reel that has been used for probably 50 years. Mechanically the reel is in superior condition, the drag fully adjustable, and with no discernible spool wobble. Currently manufactured in England Hardy Perfect reels of this size exceed the $1,000 price tag and are no better than the ones made in the 20th Century. Plate Wind Fly Reel 3.5 inch Hardy Perfect Copy (Brass)
A no named plate wind reel. Mostly Brass 3.5 inch Heavy. Almost 11 ounces empty with pretty good capacity. That is a full delta long 9/10 on it with no backing. Line not included, Works good. Clicker is light, original unfiled reel foot. It does not fit modern reel seats. The pillars need that little wire locking washer thingy to make it tight but it works even though the pillars are loose. A tiny bit of tlc would be good. I had this on a bamboo switch which it balanced perfectly.

Classic old Hardy Perfect 3 3/4" salmon reel. Circa early 1920's, in fine condition. Early, strong, duplicated MKII check with domed, knurled, nickle silver adj. thumbscrew. RH wind with free spinning Ebonite handle. Correct full length smooth brass foot measures 3 1/2" long& 5/8" wide. Weight is approx. 12 oz. Leading has aged to a beautiful bronze/silver patina. Some minor line grooves to the corners of the usual pillar as can be seen in pictures#3& 4. Reel is very tight and in excellent mechanical condition, with no repairs, no cracks, no problems. This is a Hardy Perfect 3-7/8 fly reel. I am not sure of the vintage but would guess this reel may be from the 50s. This Perfect has ribbed brass foot. The line guide pillar has only a slight amount of wear in enamel finish only. It is a right hand wind reel. Mechanically and cosmetically excellent. Except that a former owner lightly scratched the intials RWH(possibly for right wind hand? on back plate. Reel is in excellent operating condition with a strong drag. Three extra spools for an early 1960's vintage Hardy Perfect 3 3/8 inch fly reel- Right Hand Retrieve. Spool is 2 15/16 inches in diameter(perforated face) by 3/4 of an inch wide(narrow drum model) and is made to fit 3 3/8 Perfects that have a separate spool screw. I would classify these spools as being in excellent to near mint condition. There is only one small scratch on the third spool in the pictures and it is on the inside. There are no other imperfections. Spools for vintage Hardy Perfect reels in this condition are getting almost as hard to find as the reels themselves. Pick them up now when they are still relatively inexpensive- they sure aren't going to go down in price or value! You should find the pictures clear and a good representation of the spools. It has the large nickel silver line guard and the Mark II adjustable drag with the heavy-duty springs and pawls. This pre-WW II reel has a ribbed brass foot and a brass spool retaining screw, which does the job, but is a replacement. Everything works as it should on this reel, and there are no cracks, broken parts or repair needed. This is a Hardy Perfect fly reel. The reel is in EXCELLENT condition and only been used 4-5 times. It is right hand wind and has a 6 weight floating Wulff triangle taper fly line. The reel funcions perfectly. There is no wobble in the spool and the handle and check system are sound. There is only the slightest sign of wear around the handle. Which is typical of most perfects, that have been fished. The agate guide is free of any cracks or blemishes as well.

Hardy Perfect Fly Reel 3-5/8s
You are bidding on a Hardy“The Perfect” size 3-5/8. From the markings I’ll date this reel as being manufactured in the 1930’s. The mechanical condition is wonderful. Its adjustable drag works fine and the check sound has that distinctive Hardy tone. It has acquired a fine patina and has an early unaltered brass foot. The round agate has a fine crack that will not affect the line if one wishes to use the reel. The reel does have two edge chips that I have highlighted in my pics. This is a fine collectable reel and it still has years of fishing enjoyment if used. There is a fair reserve to protect my investment. Hardy "The Perfect" 3 1/8 Antique Reel with Spare Spool
This is a Hardy"The Perfect" 3 1/8" reel with an extra spool purchased by my father in the late 70's or early 80's. It has caught many Idaho trout. It is weathered with normal use wear and tear and is also still completely functional. So. While I'm sure that it will likely find a much deserved resting place adorning a well appointed fishing mantle, it is still up for catching fish.

HARDY PERFECT 3 ¼ INCH FLY REEL, In need of repair.

All will start at $1.00 with no reserve. This offering is for a Hardy Perfect in the 3 ¼ inch size. This reel is in need of some tender loving care and repair. The reel is a Duplicated Mark II with brass foot. The reel was apparently dropped and the back frame has two cracks. These can easily be seen in the photos. One is at the line guide and one at the foot. These cause the reel to be hard to turn. But everything does seem to work. The click and drag work. I cannot, however, remove the spool, but I have not really tried. I will let the new owner remove the spool and do the repairs. I believe the frame cracks should be an easy repair to fishing condition with silver ... moresolder, or even J.B. Weld. However. That is up to the new owner. Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail actual cost. I ship priority mail so that tracking is available and the item is insured. Feedback will be given when I receive feedback from the buyer. It is a vintage Hardy Perfect fly reel in fair to good working order. 3 1/8" reel as stamped on side plate as well as Hardy's Alnwick Patent. Makers initials stamped inside XL- see pictures. Reel works fine but drag is very strong. Sold for repair or parts. Older style brass drag tension wheel- see picture. Rim has chips in it and agate line guard has a crack as well. Vintage Hardy Taupo Perfect 3 7/8" Salmon Fly Reel # 190
Here we have a vintage Hardy Taupo Perfect Salmon fly reel. 3 7/8" size, with the perforated wide spool, set for right hand wind(reversible) the reel being NUMBERED 190 engraved inside the faced plate, with a smooth alloy foot mounted on the frame with two screws, a rim tension adjustment knob, an ebonite crank handle, with the strait line name of the manufacturer, the style and size of the reel engraved on the face plate. The number engraved inside the face plate reflects that this reel was the 190'th of this type and size reel made by Hardy. The reel is in very fine used condition and preserves most of it's gun metal finish. It appears to be well maintained and is without wobble and is tight on the spindle and has a loud check. The reel could use a bath. A cleaning, a lube, oil, etc. ~~ and a good home.
