This reel is in excellent shape. Just sitting in a tackle box all this time. It comes with an Orvis Reel Spool, Madison Model 4/5 which appears unused. The reel spool comes with its original box. ORVIS MADISON III REEL- 5/6 WEIGHT- WF FLOATING LINE- NICE CONDITION- MADE IN ENGLAND This reel is in excellent working condition and comes with 5 weight floating line and a handsome faux leather zip case. It measures a little over 3 1/4 inches in diameter and I believe the"III" is the equivalent of a 5/6 weight reel. The brown finish does show some scuffing/wear on the outer edges. And there is one small dent to the outside edge which does not affect the performance in any way. The drag works perfectly. This reel was made in England. Shipping cost in the US is $5.00. Fo r sale is a very nice Orvis Madison III Fly Fishing Reel With Soft Cloth Pouch. Made in Britain during the 1990s this reel is in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition. It shows some wear from use with a couple of smudges on the center of the spool and a little rash but nothing serious. Mechanically it is also in very good condition with a smooth turning handle and a sensitive drag. The reel can be converted from left hand wind to right hand wind by following the directions on the insert. The reel is spooled but I don’t know what kind of line and how much there is of it. It comes with a cloth bag with an Orvis emblem on it and the phrase Manchester. Vermont 06254 on it. This is a nice example of these well made fly fishing reels.
