This is a post 1998 manufacture and style. There are light scratches around the edges, but overall it's not all that bad. No real damage other than cosmetics. I tried to take pics of all the scratches. Foot is fine. Drag works and tightens/loosens progressively. It is stored with the drag released. Currently set up for left hand retrieve, but is easily converted to right had retrieve if you so desire. There is no backing, no line, no case, no pouch, just the reel. For auction is a used Ross Gunnison G-3 Reel and spare spool for fly fishing. The reel has a width of.80" Diameter of 3.50" weight of 5.1oz. and is classified for 5 or 6 weight lines with over 100 yards of 20# backing. This durable. Workhorse reel has been a favorite from Ross for years. The reel is very light and extremely dependable. It features different incoming and outgoing clicks, a small arbor to fit a generous amount of backing and is lightweight in hand compared to similar sized reels. This would make a great Trout reel, and the extra spool makes it a good choice to match with a floating, sinking, or sink tip line. Reel is set for left hand retrieve but can be converted. Ryall Jr Fly Reel Reel. Manufactured in the Bay Area in Northern California. The Jr model is an excellent light weight reel sized for a very small and light weight rod.say a 1 to 2 wieght and possibly a very short 3 weight. Early Ross Gunnison G-3 Fly Reel, NO RESERVE!
NO RESERVE! Never fished! This is a minty G-3 that was mounted on a rod a time or two but never taken fishing. It does have some very light marks on the reel seat from mounting and probably a few handling imperfections on the body and spool but you'd have to look hard to find them. Let's call it pretty close to 98-99% I just have too many reels so this excellent example is going to the highest bidder. The now legendary Ross Gunnisons have super smooth adjustable drag plus a palming rim and the G-3 has plenty of room for a 5-7 line line and backing. When first introduced. The Gunnison began a design revolution that brought us a new generation of fly reels of light weight and smooth powerful drags. Even today, the Gunnison gives away little to later variations on this theme.

Ross Gunnison G-1 Fly Reel Spare Spool Post-1998
This is a post-1998 G-1 spool. It fits in the reel fine. But almost always hangs up a bit when taking it out. I have never found it to be a problem, but if you happen to be in a hurry, I suppose it could be frustrating. There are a few small scratches on the rim but no mechanical damage. Up for Auction: Ross Gunnison G-2 Fly Reel with Spare Spool! Pre 98 Series- Line Weights 4-6- Both are Used. But in Good Condition This Ross Gunnison G-2 fly reel and spare spool were used as a demo reel at our fly shop. The reel/spool was only used on rods that customers would cast in our parking lot to test out new fly rods. The reel and spool have had a bit of use. But are in good condition overall and still have a lot of miles left on them as they are simply a bulletproof design. This is a pre-98 frame and spool. They were manufactured by Ross between 1995 and 1998. The reel has a brown Drag Disk and teardrop Clicker as well as no screws on the bottom of the spool. The Frame and Spool are bright black and have six large holes in the main reel face- see pictures(whereas the post-98 had multiple holes) The last four pictures are of the ... morespare spool. There are some minor scratches to be found on both the reel and spool(see pictures) particularly around the edges. They are both. However, structurally and functionally sound. The reel comes loaded with roughly 100 yards of 20# backing and a Scientific Anglers WF-4-F demo fly line that is still in decent condition. The spare spool also comes loaded with 100 yards of 20# backing and a weight forward fly line of an unknown weight that is in fair condition. The line on this spare spool has minimal life left in it and could be easily replaced if needed. Both the reel and spool set to left-hand retrieve. The Gunnison reel series were a famous reel in it's day and has recently been reintroduced by Ross as a limited edition. This classic pre-98 reel and spool are still beloved among anglers and bulletproof. Have a large lot of fly fishing gear items I am listing for the wife of a customer of mine as he passed away after a long bout with brain cancer last year and I am helping her sell his gear. Pre-1998 Ross Gunnison #4 Fly Reel Extra Spool
This Ross Gunnison#4 Extra Spool is the Pre-1998 version and has been verified by Kim Carls at Ross Reels. The fly reel spool diameter is 3 5/8" rim to rim. The spool is filled with 30 lb. braided Dacron backing. Scientific Anglers running line, and a Teeny T-300 sinking head fly line. It has been used successfully on large Alaskan rainbow trout, jack King Salmon, Chum Salmon, and Silver Salmon. I'm sure it would have practical applications for steelhead, too. The fly reel spool is in absolute"mint" condition!
