Used Ross Cimarron C3 Fly Reel and fly line Ross Cimarron fly reels are fully machined. Standard arbor reels that were rugged, well made and dependable. They featured a fully adjustable disk drag, palming rim, ventilated spool, and full frame design. The C3 model is ideal for 5/6 weight lines. It holds a WF6F and approximately 150 yds of 20 lb. test backing. The weight is listed as 5.0 oz. This is a pre 1998 reel. The spool has 3 screws holding it together and the drag disk is one directional. The reel is set up for left hand wind. We are happy to convert to right hand wind for the auction winner. The reel is in excellent. Almost like new condition, with no sign of wear anywhere inside or out. The fly line is a Wulff Triangle Taper, size 5/6, orange in color. It also shows minimal wear. Ross Cimarron 2 Plus Spare Spool & Pouches
Original Pre-1998 Ross Cimarron C2 reel made in Montrose. Colorado with 20 lb backing plus a like-new spare spool plus Ross original leather reel pouch and a neoprene pouch. The reel is in great working order with some smooth cosmetic scratches on the back of the reel frame and top of the foot. The spare spool is like-new with no scratches at all. The reel is set up for left-hand wind but is easily convertible. Drag is easily controlled by twist knob. This is a great, very durable reel for 4-6 weight lines.

I watched a reel just like mine sell for over $100 with 27 bids and realized that some folks must love this reel. I just keep this one as a backup since going to a large arbor reel so I decided to sale it and buy some fly tying stuff. Etc. The reel is in great working shape but has scratches. Wear. Etc. Cabela's HP3 Saltwater Fly Reel (Used, Made By Ross Reels, Similar to Cimarron)
Used Cabela's HP3 fresh and saltwater fly fishing reel in matte black guide finish. This reel was offered by Cabela's in the late'90s and was manufactured by Ross Reels(in the US. I think) It is very similar to the Ross Cimarron reels pre-1998, which had the same guide finish and similar strong brown disc drag. Those reels were known for their sturdy manufacture and bullet proof performance- this one should be no different. Mechanically the reel is in very good condition and should offer many more years of reliable service. Cosmetically it has a few marks and scratches in the paint/coating which I've tried to show in the photographs. There are also three small x's scratched into the inside of the reel seat that can't be seen when in use. The reel is approximately 3.625 inches in diameter and 0.8 inches wide. The U.S.A. made reel is a standard arbor design. Machined and fully anodized, and suitable for use with 3 to 5 weight fly lines. It has a 3 inch diameter, 4 oz. weight, and a listed capacity of 60 yds. of 20 lb. backing with a WF4F line. The reel is in pretty good condition. Mechanics are very good. There is an area of modest rash on the edge of the back plate. And some little nicks along the spool rim. It is set for left hand retrieve(can be reversed) and spooled with backing and a Rio MainStream WF4F line. The line is an older product with some soiling, but still might have some life left in it. This auction is for a beautiful ROSS CIMARRON C-3 FLY FISHING REEL. WITH AN EXTRA SPOOL. The reel and additional spool are in excellent cndition. This is also part of an estate we are liquadating. The condition is excellent, this reel was used very little. Both the spool on the reel and the extra spool have line on them. One is orange in color and I do not know what the weight is of this line, and the other is a light green, and in the last picture shows the sticker on the back of the spool. This is a very quality reel, and very versitable with the extra spool. I will be listing the matching St. Croix rod in another auction shortly. Selling a Ross Cimarron 2 reel that is a post 98 model. Package includes a spare spool. One Ross pouch, and the original reel box. The two spools are loaded with lines, a WF5-S, and a WF5-F. The reels and spools are in very good plus condition. With very little use. There is one small spot with rash on the reel(see photo) Very small scratch also noted on the stainless RR reel logo. The box has a rip where the price tag was removed. Very nice package. And is covered by Ross Reels lifetime warranty. Only reason I am selling is to move to a smaller 3wt reel.
