Aaron 10-11 Size Fly Fishing Reel Excellent Condition with backing
I'm selling my Aaron 10-11 Fly Reel. I bought this new direct from Aaron. I was working for a fly shop at the time and I was very impressed with their products. I bought several of their reels for myself and some friends. I don't get an opportunity to use this reel so I decided to sell. I don't remember using the reel but there is backing on the spool. I checked the reel and found two very small areas of damage. One on the edge of the spool(see photo) and the other on the edge of the reel body(see photo) The areas are small and the photos may look like there are others because of the glare but I only found these two small spots. The neoprene reel pouch has a small cut(maybe 1/4" long) where the reel must have rubbed through. Now the good. This is a fantastic reel and is in near perfect condition. If I used a marker and covered ... moreover the two areas you would not know anything was wrong at all. The reel works as it should and I did not find any signs of corrosion. Reel is in excellent condition. Comes with the neoprene reel bag, no box or paperwork. Reel is in superb condition, really noticeable signs of use except a couple extremely faint scuff marks on handle plate. Reel has more than enough capacity for any spey line. The first Hardy reel patent was registered in 1888. And since then many patents have followed. One of Hardy's most popular reels appeared in 1891. It was understandably called the"Perfect" It included most of the improvements that fishermen had been asking for up to that time. The spool was narrow and deep. An adjustable check supplied the friction to keep the spool velocity from over running the line while playing a fish. Up to that time most fine reels were made from brass. The first Perfect reels were also made from brass. After a short period they were machined from ... morean aluminum casting. This made the Perfect very lightweight for its time. A great contributor to the reels success was its ease of disassembly,which is accomplished by rotating the side plate backwards. Both ends of the reel turns. This allows the angler to palm or finger a side plate for more friction while playing a fish. Hardy Cascapedia Mk III 8/9 Fly Fishing Reel Excellent Condition
This Cascapedia Mark III has done light duty on local steelhead rivers. Always in its case and well cared for, but I'm ready to move up the Hardy foodchain and have to let it go. You'll see from the photos this reel is pretty much mint, and I've got the neoprene case and original packaging with warranty card. Set up for Left Hand Retrieve. But the included instructions let you know how to change it. I really. Really dig the sound of this reel, and honestly, you can't beat its drag to put the brakes on a raging sea-run fish. I was a little worried about the capacity of this reel, but I was able to fit about 100 yards of#20 backing, an Airflo ridge running line and a Airflo Skagit Compact 540gr. with just enough room. Penn 2.5 Fly Fishing Reel Spare Spool Box Manual Pouch Used Excellent Condition
Hi. I purchased the with full intentions of using it but just never did. Penn made three different sizes of these, this being the middle size, the reel is about 3 1/4" diameter and 1" wide. Please zoom in on ALL the pictures to see the specs on the owners manual and box. I'm calling this used only because I don't want you to be disappointed in it's condition. It has never had line on it or been fished, it's only been removed from the box on a rare occasion, and admired by me, I see no scratches or marks of any kind on it. The spare spool box had some writing on it that doesn't have anything to do with the spool, I wonder if it was a store employee's notes for something? Lamson Litespeed 2 Hard Alox Fly Fishing Reel, 5/6wt Excellent used w/box/papers
This is probably a couple of generations ago Lamson Litespeed Reel-The Hard Alox model 2 in really excellent shape. It has been fished a few times but it basically unmarked and would be tough to tell from new. It is a remarkably light weight reel and goes well with today's ever lighter in the hand rods. The size makes it ideal for a 5wt but easily handles a 6wt line with 100 yards of 20# backing. Because the reel is a couple of Litespeed generations old I cannot vouch for which spare spools might interchange with this model. I just have too many reels in this weight class and need to cull the herd a bit. I'm guessing you could call Lamson's customer service and find out more details on this reel. Single action, pawl/rim drag system and currently set up for right hand reel. Very lightly used with a few superficial marks on the outer face of the spool and reel foot.
