It comes with the original pouch, but I removed the name plate that has my name on it. I am selling this reel for the hard to defend reason that I have wanted a new black QC. Please see pics. However, this is a workhorse of a reel and is mechanically excellent. Included is the original box with original reel pouch. Pouch is in excellent condition. Box nearly so. Also included is backing and a fly line. I don't know what weight the fly line is. Probably an 8 floating. Instructions/parts list sheet also included. I am not sure but I believe this reel is currently around $500 new. I am not sure how old this is but the serial number is U469. Anti-reverse means the handle does not spin when a fish is taking out line. With most fly reels. Up for sale is a Tibor Everglades fly reel with 2 extra spools and RIO versitip line. I got this off a friend and he told me what the spools were lined with. Two of the spools have the tips on them. TIBOR TAILWATER FLY REEL WITH SUPER MODIFIED DRAG AND NICE 5WT LINE
First time I hooked up with a 20" fat rainbow in the river. After the initial set I began to increase the drag until it was fully engaged and she just kept swimming away. That was rather annoying so I took the spool off and found a couple of things. One was that the reel was way over lubricated and the greasy lubricant was wicking up onto the drum and cork drag material. See third photo to see the innards. Solution was to clean out all the excess lubricant and clean the cork and drum with a solvent to remove all the residue. Then gradually work some Neasfoot oil into the cork. That helped a bit, but I was still not satisfied with the resisitance. Replaced spring in the drag system with a stronger spring, Bingo. The drag would bring the spool to almost a complete stop, and had a much wider range of adjustment from Freespooling to almost ... morestopped. Don't know why Tibor doesn't build them that way to begin with. I will include the original spring with the reel, and it is a simple operation if you want it changed back to the original set up. The reel is lined with 5wt floating line, and is in very good to excellent condition

There are some minor surface scratches, scrapes and light rubs present along reel and spool's rimmed edges and face, but nothing beyond what one would expect in reel that's seen occasional use over the years. Structurally and mechanically sound throughout. A quick testing of the reel's adjustable cork-disc drag confirms smooth increasing tension throughout its entire range with no stutter, stick or hesitation noted, and the anti-reverse function still performs flawlessly too. A careful disassembly and thorough inspection of the reel's interior confirms all parts still perfectly intact and fully serviceable with no excessive residue build up. Tibor "Freestone" 5-7 wt Fly Reel
I am a disabled Veteran. A member of and volunteer instructor for the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program at the Long Beach Casting Club in Long Beach, CA. A long time club member recently gave to our project director a large lot of fly fishing gear to sell to generate funds for our program. I'm tasked with selling the items. This Tibor"Freestone" reel is used but it's hard to tell as it's in very nice condition. There are some very minor scuff marks on the"gold" side of the reel that do not show up in the photo(sorry, but I'm a much better fly fisher then photographer) but nothing that should be considered damage. For functionality it's 10/10, cosmetic 8+9/10. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. The reel also includes a Teeny T200 7wt sinking line. Thanks for looking. One last thing, The"Bob ... moreDuvall" engraved on the reel IS NOT"that" Robert Duvall. If it were I'd be asking a lot more money for it, hahaha.
