It has never seen the salt. Just the reel seat of a two hander. Perfect for a 10-12 weight single hander or 7-9 weight spey. The only two noticeable marks are on the frame side and are shown in the last two photos. One is a nick in the anodize on the right side of the frame shown in the second to last photo. Ross Canyon Big Game 4 Reel & Spare Spool
Up for sale is a classic bullet proof combo- a Ross Canyon BG 4 reel and spare spool. Both in gold. This made-in-America workhorse of a reel and spool are in very good shape. The last two photos on the right will reveal a small nick on the inside edge of the reel frame beneath the reel foot. The next to the last photo shows some minor light scratches from use on a boat. Any differences in colors as shown in photos is due to different lighting at times photos were taken. Functionally, the reel is in great shape and will give years of reliable service. The reel has been serviced by Ross periodically, which is one of the reasons I am a fan of their reels. Ross offers superb service on used reels for a nominal fee and promises to ship the reel back within 5 days of receipt. Ross Big Game 4 Reel in Good Used condition with original pouch. Box and all paperwork. Reel has been sent in once for servicing only to Ross in Montrose, CO. The reel is the precursor to the Momentum Reel and has been fished some in salt but mostly in fresh water in Alaska for salmon. Reel works perfectly, and I would rate it as excellent if it were not for the boat rash on the body of the reel that I've tried to show in the photos. These reels are total workhorses with excellent drags that will hold up to any salmon, baby tarpon, big bones, etc and not let you down.
