Setup for right hand retrieve and best suitable for 5-6wt fly lines. The spool has a diameter of 3" and this reel weighs 6.3oz. The drag is strong, and this reel has a nice sounding outgoing clicker. Is saltwater proof and can be changed from left to right hand wind easily. It would be perfect paired with a Spey or switch rod. The reel has had some use. But is in reasonable working order. Mechanically it is good shape and the drag and clicker mechanism function well. Cosmetically it has a number of small dings and blemishes. This particular model was supplied with a black stealth paint finish, rather than anodization. The paintwork on this was was in bad shape, so it has been re-sprayed. The current paintwork is ok, but not perfect- see pictures. This is a good functioning reel to use, not one for a collector. Spool diameter is approximately 3.75 inches. Width approximately 0.875 inches. Should take an 8, 9 or even 10 weight single handed line with ample backing. With a Spey or switch rod, it would suit a 6, 7 or 8 weight line. The reel was made in England by Hardy Bros. for LL Bean, I believe around the mid to late 1990s. Structurally, it is almost the same as a Hardy Marquis 7 Disc reel. It has a 3 5/8 in. spool diameter, with a 3/4 in. inner width, and a total weight of 5.6 oz. The reel is rated for 6 and 7 weight fly lines. It has an offset-gear disc drag system, with a spring supported steel pawl that produces a sweet clicker sound similar to a spring and pawl reel. The pawl can be disengaged if you want a quieter reel. Orvis fly reel. Looks to be in great condition. But I'm no fisherman. turns in both directions smoothly. Fly case is dirty. Probably will come out in a cleaning. A very nice set. Sold as is.

Orvis CFO II Disc Fly Reel + Spool Made in England This Orvis fly reel has been used but is in great condition. There are a few small signs of use throughout the reel. Primarily small/light scratches around the edges that are purely aesthetic. The original clicker was removed by the original owner- the disc drag still functions the same, just without the sound. Both are spooled up with 20lb backing- one with orange and the other white. Currently set up to reel with the left hand but can be changed upon request. It has a 3 3/8 inch diameter and an inner width of 1 1/16 inch. This spool is made in England. And has the sculpted handle and a metal latch cover with swing release. The spool is used. And remains in very good condition. There is some edge wear along the palming rim, but not much else. It functions flawlessly on a reel, with no wobble. Orvis BATTENKILL DISC 3/4 FLY Fishing REEL Made In England w/ WF4F Line Up for sale is this used Orvis Battenkill 3/4 Disc fly reel. With zippered case. With its traditional appearance, great value, and proven disc drag system, the Battenkill Disc continues to enjoy great popularity, despite the series being discontinued by Orvis. The 3/4 model will hold about 120 yds. of 20 lb. backing with a WF3F line, 95 yds. with a WF4F, and 70 yds. with a WF5F. This reel was made in England. The reel is in pretty nice condition. It is fully functional. With very good cosmetics. The only flaws I see is some finish wear(pictured) in one area along the edge of the back plate, and a little discoloration on the reel foot. It is spooled with backing and a fire orange WF4F line. The line probably has some age to it, but looks like it has seen minimal, if any, ... moreuse. Current retrieve direction is right hand wind(readily convertible to left hand) The Orvis zippered case is proudly made in the U.S.A. It is ink marked on the outside with a"4" Presumably to indicate line size. Otherwise, the case is in very good condition.
