You are bidding on a fine fly reel called“The Condex” manufactured by the J.W. Young& Sons LTD of Redditch England. This model came into production after WWII and was produced for several years. Except for a very small amount of finish missing from the foot this reel is in as new condition. Extremely little if any usage at all. Either left or right hand retrieve and the constant check has a low soft sound. Its diameter is 3-1/4 inches width is 1-1/8 inches and weighs roughly 6oz. It has one of the smoothest rotations of any reel I have come across. A fine collectable to save or very serviceable reel for a 4-6 wt rod. Original box included. Classic British Made J.W.Young And Sons Condex 3.25" Small Narrow Fly Reel Green
An excellent youngs condex reel in the small narrow spool version. These reels were built to last and have that classic click pawl check. This one is finished in metallic green. The general maximum capacity of this small size is a WF4 plus 30m of backing line. Reel diameter is 3.25" and a spool width of 10/16ths of an inch. With all pre-owned reels in my possession from part exchange etc they are fully stripped all parts and screws. Cleaned, polished and re-lubricated with good quality gun oil ensuring a smooth clean mechanism.
