A partially used tube of Pflueger Iron Free Gear Grease No. 2120 and a Pflueger Cork Arbor No. 412 size 7/8 inch. Pflueger manufactured the first Supreme No.1573 in 1916 and continued building ... morethis basic model with minor modifications over the years until the early 1960’s when the model number changed to 1575. Over this period. By my count there were about 20 variations of this basic style reel. The version being offered here is what I believe to be the 9 th version and was manufactured in 1931. The face plate has‘ PFLUEGER SUPREME’ MADE IN THE USA’ stamped rather than cast which was the case with later versions. Also stamped on the foot of the reel are the words PATENTED along with PATENTS PENDING and 9 patent numbers which are clearly shown in the photos. The 9 patent numbers tell us the year(1931) that this version was first made. Mechanically the reel is in very good condition. There are NO missing screws. Both end caps are present and the foot of the reel has not been altered in any way. The crank and spool turn freely as well as the handles on the crank. The clicker is strong and load and the mechanism which turns the clicker on and off works smoothly. In terms of appearance. I have not cleaned this reel up since I first came by it and have displaced it a shown in the photos. The reel has the typical dirt and grime one would expect from a reel over 80+ years old and finish on the reel itself. Looks good. The foot and lower bars do show some loss of plating where the brass is showing through. This reel will make a very nice addition to any collection of Pflueger Supreme reels. If you are looking for some of the other versions of the Supreme reel. You might find what you are looking for in one of my other auctions. As there are NO returns in this auction. Vintage 1957 Pflueger Supreme 1573 Fishing Reel in Box NOS EZ Grip
This 55-year old Pflueger Supreme#1573 fishing reel looks as if it must have been put away and not used for a very long time. It has nice jewels and a nice finish. The reel itself is in beautiful condition: level wind. Anti-backlash, satin chrome finish in its original box. The reel works fine, and has a strong clicker. Accompanying it is its owner's guide and a new E-Z-GRIP Comfo Ring no. 430 and papers as well as a new set of handle covers no. 410 in their own box. Needless to say, time has dried out the original rubber and also the newer set of cover and handles, but it's nice to have a second set and the box to complement the reel. The handle cover box is in pretty nice and colorful condition. The fishing reel box is solid but is missing a strip on the tip where someone must have put some tape.

This is a single owner/user baitcasting reel purchased circa 1950 by my grandfather from Klein's Sporting Goods. Chicago Illinois. The original box, original leather pouch with draw string, paperwork, combi tool, extra reel handle, and tube of Pfleuger Run Free gear grease No. 2120 that came with the reel are included and are in fantastic shape. The reel itself is in perfect working order and is spooled with original black braided dacron fishing line. A CUB handle drag system that came with the reel and has been installed. I have cast with the reel in years past and it casts well but it has not been used for fishing since the early 60s. Thanks for shopping!

No.1573.Really good shape with all its original paperwork, vinyl zipper soft case, 2 Pflueger reel wrenches, and 1 round nut wrench adapter.Everything is in good to very good condition, reel itself has some minimal wear, but everything seems to function nice and smooth.Little bit of glue on the bottom of the case, but other then that its really good.Even the paperwork/owners manual for replacement parts and such are not ripped or in bad shape.Please see pics.Any questions please ask.

Reel bag, box, box papers, wrench, and extra reel handle with cushioned grips. The reel has a satin chrome finish and appears to have seen limited use. It does show some minor wear but appears to be working properly.clicker button works well and the reel's line carriage moves properly. The reel bag is"sheading" fabric because of the age of the item. Vintage Pflueger Supreme #1573 Fishing Reel, Box, Bag, & Extras
Many of the items I sell on eBay come to me secondhand through auctions. Estate sales, garage sales, etc. I do not know where they have been or what they have been in contact with like pets, smoke, etc.I also recycle boxes, newspapers, and packaging for shipping and can't always know where they come from. Vintage Pflueger Supreme 1573 Casting Reel with original box for bass fishing
Up for auction is a recent estate find. This is a vintage Pflueger Supreme No. 1573 casting reel( I would call excellent condition. I see one scratch) in the original box( not ripped or torn) with owner's guide and wrench( still has reel tag in the box) Hard to find in this condition with such a nice box. There is hardly a scuff or any rim rash on this reel, it was very lightly used( needs cleaning) = as pictured.The reel functions properly and is a nice clean reel to collect or use. All I did was clean the outside a bit for pictures( you can still see some of the grease on the outside of the reel) but it could use a thorough cleaning and lubrication. I did not remove the old original rubber grip( putty) from the side plate, it has long ago dried up and will come off easily if you prefer.
