VINTAGE SHAKESPEARE 1932 TRU-AXIS. Model GE baitcaster, made in USA. Has been serviced. Super smooth and fast. Has some scratches, flea bites, also small chip on one handle knob, see pics. Still a very rare find, very collectible. Fully serviced means reel is stripped down and cleaned; all old grease and oil and dirt removed. Reel is then oiled with a reel oil that molecularly bonds with metal gears. Springs, bearings. This makes the reel smooth and fast. All metal is checked for worn parts and replaced with new old stock gears. Shipping is USPS Priority Mail to the 48 contiguous states. This is a vintage American open face Kalamazoo Tackle Company(these reels were made by Shakespeare) Tru Axis 1722 model B reel in very good shape. Reel is in very good condition. With some light scratches and wear(no rust) but with full functionality. Crank knobs are tight. I would grade this reel as A8 or better and M9, although please remember that such grading is rather subjective. There is still line on the reel which I will leave on. Ready for your collection!

Classic Shakespeare 1932 Tru-Axis Levelwind Freshwater Casting Reel Model GE
The model GE dates this reel to 1946. This reel is in very good condition cosmetically. Good mechanically. Everything works fine EXCEPT that there is a hitch in the levelwind mechanism that hangs it up on the right hand side, needs attention. There is a strong on/off click button on the tail plate. The bottom of the foot is stamped"MADE IN U.S.A.PATENTED" This is a finely crafted reel.
