Model(looks like) GE, Bait Casting Reel. This reel is not in working condition, it looks like all the pieces are here except for 4 screws on the side where the handle is on. The handle does not turn. It is in nice cosmetic condition. 3) Viking F-120 Close Face Spinning Reel. This reel does not work as well. It looks like all the pieces are here but the handle does not turn. Up for bid is one vintage casting reel manufactured by South Bend. No. 400 ANTI-BACK-LASH Model E. This reel is in very good condition. It measures 2-1/4" diameter, 3-7/8" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-7/16" long by 9/16" wide. On the bottom of the foot it has"MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED" It has a 4:1 geared multiplier. The handle has plastic handles. It has a clicker slide button on the rear plate, and a rotating knob on the front cover that controls the anti-back-lash. The crank side is engraved with"SOUTH BEND, Famous in Fishing" And still on the front plate is engraved"No. 400, SOUTH BEND, ANTI-BACK-LASH, MODEL E" The metal used for the front and rear plates appears to be Stainless Steel with chrome plated brass used for the foot, pillars, and handle. If you purchased the rod, then you got the tape for free. The reel& case likely date to the late 1940s or 1950s, but the tape is from 1995. The tape is highlighted by the catching of lots of big northern pike& some really big trophy pike. I just watched the tape to make sure it was okay, but unfortunately didn't time it.
