Absolutely STUNNING Shakespeare President II 1980 HB Baitcasting Reel. This reel is in near mint condition with just a couple tiny nicks that are hard to find. Not calling it mint but VERY close. Mechanically it is smooth as butter with no apparant signs of use. This would be a fine addition to any collection and difficult to find one nicer unless it was new in the box. Vintage Shakespeare President II 1980HB/Model-DF. American made. This reel is in very good shape and in full working condition. I completely dismantle the reels and inspect every internal and external part. I then thoroughly clean and lubricate each real. This reel has some external wear but it is minimal(inspect pictures carefully) It works perfectly and has no defective parts. Included is a spare parts tube(see picture) I bought this reel in 1976 and was used for catching redfish. Snook, seatrout, etc. however, it had a short service life. Note: I take good focused pictures so that prospective buyers can inspect the reels up close. no tricks here. By the way. a little trivia; 1980 was Ronald Reagan's first term in office. who would have known in 1976 when the reel was made. Thank you.
