Vintage 2 Fishing Reel Shakespeare Criterion 1961 &Shakespeare Service 1946
From my dads basement 2 very old fishing reels that are both Shakespeare and on is very nice and smaller with green knobs and this has etching on the 2 ends of canoe and waters edge scenery. there is some rusting and tarnish but the reel turns very nicely still. The other reel is much larger with no etching on the sides and very plain but also seems to work very well. As I said I found in basement and did not clean them up. This is a light saltwater, heavy freshwater level winding, star drag reel. One of the great one's to come out of Shakespeare. Overall this one is in excellent shape, and shows very little fishing use. Only defect would be some very light scratches on the edges of the plates, pretty much clean everywhere else as shown in photos. Operationally this one works great, has just been inspected an oiled so everything works as intended and spins like a top. Could easily be used to be fished with today.
