Classic Unmarked Saltwater Casting Reel, Hard Rubber & German Silver Side Plates
The only marking on this reel is on the head plate. Stamped"GERMAN SILVER" The tail plate is hard rubber and has a strong on/off click button. The crank on the head plate is straight, counterbalanced and has a lrge bulbous wooden knob. Crank action is very smooth. Overall condition of this reel is very good both cosmetically and mechanically. Diameter of the reel is 3 1/4" width of the spool is 2 1/8" A good quality collectible.

German Silver PFLUEGER WORTH Casting Reel - Ky. Style - Jeweled
Pflueger Worth casting reel featuring german silver construction. Counter balanced handle, fancy jeweled endcaps, and face plate mounted click and brake buttons. Reel shows some mild wear from use, with the most signficant items being some nicks on the ends of the foot and what appears to be a hairline crack running the length of the spool arbor. Mechanically the action is smooth and the clicker is strong. The brake button moves correctly but does not appear to be engaging the brake. Reel is marked Pflueger Worth with the Bulldog logo on the face plate, and the back plate is marked Patented Jan. 22 1907 and Dec. 29 1914, along with the number 5818. The bottom of the foot is marked with the number 60. Be sure to check out my other auctions for more old fishing reels.

circa 1910 B. F. MEEK & SONS NO. 33 BLUEGRASS casting reel -- German Silver
There are 9 pictures Offered for sale is an antique( circa 1910) B. F. MEEK& SONS NO. 33 BLUEGRASS CASTING REEL from around 1905-20 era. The reel is german silver and although very well taken care of there is some light tarnish or natural patena in some of the real tight edges. The clicker works fine and the reel is smooth and overall very clean. Looks to be 100% original. One side plate is stamped B F Meek& Sons Louisville. Kt. and under that the reel is stamped No. 33 Bluegrass The other side plate is stamped with an arrow and the word Screw Off and under that the reel is stamped Carters Pat Jul 5. 04 and Nov 28, 06 The reel would display nicely mounted on an old bamboo casting rod-maybe something made by Heddon. And early Orvis, South Bend, Shakespeare, Horrocks Ibbotson, some of the custom made bamboo rods or an early Granger ... morecasting rod. Photos show exactly what you are bidding on. 1800s Vintage B.C. MILAM No. 3 Casting Reel - Frankfort KY - German Silver
B.C. Milam No. 3 casting reel. This classic 1800s vintage reel features a half handle mounted at the 6 o'clock position. Face plate mounted click and brake, german silver construction, full length foot, and a single bead of knurling round the face plate rim. The face plate is marked B.C. Milam- Frankfort KY- No. 3 with a single dot by the number 3. The bottom of the foot is marked with four dots. The serial number 6236 is found on the bottom inside of the back plate. The reel is in nice cosmetic condition showing some minimal overall wear from use, with one replaced screw at the top left position on the face plate. Mechanically the action is smooth, the brake is good, and the clicker is strong when cranking forward, but weak when cranking backward. A great old Kentucky reel offered with a minimal opening bid and no reserve!

1800s Vintage MEEK & MILAM No. 3 Casting Reel - Frankfort, KY - German Silver
Meek& Milam No. 3 casting reel. This classic 1800s vintage reel features a half handle mounted at the 12 o'clock position. Face plate mounted click and brake, german silver construction, full length foot that has been very neatly filed to fit a rod seat, and a double bead of knurling round the face plate rim. The face plate is marked Meek& Milam- Frankfort KY- No. 3 with a single dot by the number 3. The reel is in pretty nice cosmetic condition showing some mild from use, all original. Mechanically the action is super smooth, the brake is good, and the clicker is strong when cranking backward, but weak when cranking forward. German Silver HORTON BLUE GRASS SIMPLEX No. 25 Casting Reel
Horton Mfg. Co. Bluegrass Simplex No. 25 casting reel. Featuring german silver construction, non-level wind action, double handle, back plate mounted clicker button, and takapart style construction. Face plate is marked No. 25 Blue Grass Simplex- The Horton Mfg. Co. Bristol, Conn. There is also a capital letter I on the bottom of the foot. The Horton stamp on the face plate looks dark, almost like it was an extra hard stamp. Reel is in very nice shape as seen in the pics and is mechanically excellent with super smooth action- the handle spins forever- and a strong clicker. Reel functions perfect and turns smooth with a strong on and off click operated by the sliding button located on the back, see picture# 3. Makers mark is on the handle which reads, Sold By E.Vom Hofe and Co. N.Y. see picture# 2. Foot is unaltered and marked with the number,200, see picture# 12. Reel weight is 13.5 ounces, the reel diameter is 3 inches and the width is 2 3/8 inches. Single black wooden handle has no chips or cracks. I will ship the next day after recieving payment. This exceptional Hendryx casting reel has solid German silver side-plates. Sliding oil caps, foot. Pillars and handle. The reel has brass screws, spool arbor, handle retaining nut and handle counterbalance. The bearing covers underneath the sliding oil caps are made of aluminum. The sculpted bells of the spool appear to be made of either aluminum or German silver. The two screws on the rear side-plate that attach the foot have been replaced. The reel has a fancy knurled rope border on the front and back plates as well as on both sliding oil caps. The reel's rear side-plate is stamped with seven patent dates. The bottom of the foot is stamped with the size- 80 The reel spins very nicely and when you slide the hard rubber rear mounted click button the the clicker is loud and strong.
