ANTIQUE PFLUEGER SUMMIT NO 1993L VINTAGE ORNATE BAIT CASTING REEL· On the head plate you will see“Plueger Summit No 1993L Trademark Made in U.S.A. On the foot see“PATENTED PAT’S PEND. Line guide works and moves well. Lightweight aluminum spool. All screws look to be original on both plates and look to be in good condition. Circa 1936-1941 Crank turns easily and there is a distinct click. Clicker works fine as well as the drag. Very clean and very smooth. Sold as is. I am certainly not an expert on fishing equipment. This is also why I did no cleaning or any kind of restoration. How you see it is how I found it.

Beautiful vintage casting reel by Pflueger. It is a Summit 1993L. Trademarked and made in the USA. Reel is heavily engraved. It has two yellow green bakelite handles. Boss says it's working perfectly well. It has a 2" diameter and 3" length. Comes with its original box and pouch inside. On an end of the box I did not capture with photography is: Level Wind and Anti-Back-Lash Quadruple-Nickel Silver-Jeweled. They don't make'em like they used to.

UP FOR AUCTION. A Vintage 1934 Pflueger Summit 1993L Fishing Reel. The reel measures 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"handle span is 2 5/8" CONDITION: Please examine the photos closely.I am not a collector. So I wouldn't know if all parts are original or not. The reel has a"jewel" at each end, elaborately etched designs, and white plastic handles. The line spool has masking tape around it. When you turn the handle, the reel doesn't go click click click like most and the line feeder is stuck at one side. I would say this reel needs some work. I have not attempted to clean any of the reels that I am selling. There is some pitting. Wear, and definitely grime.needs a good cleaning. Patented October 16, 1934, with Rubber Ring(see the patent information below highlighted in RED) NOTE: The handle is apparently a replacement.it is a Pflueger CUB.number 2542. The reel measures 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"handle span is 4" CONDITION: Please examine the photos closely.I am not a collector. So I wouldn't know if all parts are original, but obviously the handle isn't. The reel appears to be functioning properly.clicker button appears to be working and the carriage moves back and forth across the spool smoothly. The end panels and crank handle are engraved. The foot is marked Patented and Pats. Pend. The reel does have some issues: 1. The jeweled end caps have broken jewels. 2. The nickel plating shows some wear and the brass metal most of the reel is made of shows through in some areas. 3. The foot is marked"patented, pat's pend. It is in excellent condition. The graphics are really nice. A great looking reel for any collection. 2 Excellent Pflueger Summit 1993L 1993-L Level Wind Casting Fishing Reels with Correct Boxes. Neither show much use if any. Includes everything in the pictures. 2 reels, 2 boxes, 1 pouch, 1 wrench, 1 instruction sheet and 2 very deteriorated rubber cushions. Both reels are very clean and run soooooo smooth you would swear they were old German Silver Tournament reels. I have never seen a Pflueger reel this run this smooth and easy.
