Selling South Bend Model C No. 850 PERFECTORENO STAINLESS STEEL FISHING REEL This reel has a"more less" tension dial on the left end of the reel. The right end is where the crank is. It looks to be ivory twisters, aged ivory color any way, no cracks or dark discoloration. under the t handle there is a five pointed handle, and a flip toggle I think for locking the reel after casting. I think it is a very nice reel. It has an all metal spooling guide the evenly distribute the line as it is reeled in. 1 Old vintage classic South Bend Perfectoreno No.850 model C fishing reels. Made in USA It has become time to start to let my collection go. This is one was well-kept and used to fish with. No missing parts or problems. Was designed to work in both fresh or salt water. Do not know any other specification other than what I read on the internet. I am not the original owner picked up from an auction. Paid too much, my loss can be your gain. I have tried to describe reel to the best of my knowledge and provide pictures for your inspection. Inspection results A little tight suspect grease needs to be replaced but it does reel freely with a click. I suspect servicing the reel would bring the reel back to original operation) The line release is working. Clicker works. The drag works. Tension knob works. Pawl. Worm gear and line guide flawless. The ... morehandle is in good shape. Cosmetics; no rust or oxidation. It could use a good cleaning, other than every day dirt it looks to be in very good conditions. Fresh from a south Florida estate is this SOUTH BEND"PERFECTORENO" LEVEL-WIND CASTING REEL No. 750. The reel behaves as though its ready to go– spins smoothly with the clicker both on and off. It appears complete sans one screw located on the handle-side plate to one of the bottom pillars. I’ve taken the liberty of cleaning some of the dust and grime off the reel and am now left with wide-spread surface corrosion that does affect the nickel in areas. Very good and rare lefthanded South Bend #750 Perfectoreno reel
Although lefthanded South Bend reels are all rare. This one represents the only example created in the Perfectoreno style. A perfectoreno reel has an ABL system that took over for the old ABL bail device found on earlier reels) The reel was offered by special order only in 1940, 41, and 42. Since I have only found 3 in 20 years, It may be a long time before another shows up for auction. This one has been disassembled, relubed/oiled and is very smooth. The click is strong, and the screw slots are perfect. It has normal signs of use on the rims, but it should rate near excellent. Priority mail with a flat $8.00 rate.

Vintage South Bend No. 760 Perfectoreno Model A Levelwind Reel Circa Late 1940's Here is a used South Bend No. 760 Perfectoreno Model A level wind reel made by Shakespeare. I think this was made in the late 1940's or early!950's after WWII. Level wind and clicker work fine. And the drag, when tightened against the spool bearing, does slow down the spool on this reel. Overall it is in good cosmetic condition, with the typical rubbing and nicks in the maroon paint on the aluminum plates of the reel. Vintage South Bend no. 800 Perfectoreno, Very Hard Find, Nice Reel!
Here is a scarce South Bend Perfectoreno no. 800 reel. Only seen a few of these over the past few years. Very tough to find in any condition! This reel is very similar in looks to the South Bend no. 1250 with the nice red marbled beauty spacers. It is certainly a very nice looking and designed reel. This particular one works very well. Has a good strong clicker, nice level wind and pawl, and spins very easily. It does show wear from being used over the years as seen in the photos, but still a very nice find and addition to a collection. Line guide travels fine, strong click, ya gotta really tighten down on the end cap to get brake, knobs turn freely. Oval logs on Head cap. Shows some wear to the tail bearing cover. You can see some light"surface scratches" when you rock the reel back and forth under the light. Comes in the original sturdy 2 piece box. Box shows minor wear. Also includes the paper insert. I have over a 100 vintage reels I will be listing over the next few days. So be sure to visit my store and check back as it will take me a few days. All of these reels was from an estate sale I attended where this man had over 400 reels he had collected. I test these reels by turning the crank, clicking whatever buttons are on them to see if everything works. I'll point out anything I see missing or strange sounds or if they simple don't work. You need to look closely at the pics to judge their condition for yourself. All the reels have ... morelisted are used and have all the signs of a used reel. Be sure to ask any questions before purchasing them. I do my best to describe them as correctly as I can. I gain nothing from you getting a reel and not happy with it, so I don't hide anything in my pics or description. If you look at my auctions you will see, I take all my pics of every reel from the exact same angles. I do fish but I don't collect or use these reels so I have no way of knowing if everything on them is what belongs or what was originally on them. If there are no notes added to this description, then you can assume that I have checked the real and as far as I can test it, it works as it should.

This reel is in excellent working condition and is very clean and shiny. Its original marbled handle is also original and in very nice condition. This reel is marked on the end plate: South Bend No. 750 Perfectoreno Model A. South Bend, Famous in Fishing. On the bottom plate(which attaches to a pole) it is marked: Made in U.S.A.
