It has some really detailed engraving on it. It's in good condition but could use some light detailing. The reel is moving and spinning freely. The ivory colored handles appear to be bakelite. There is a rubber protector on the outside of the reel on the side opposite the handles. As you can see in pic 8, a small amount of the rubber is missing around part of the hardware. The manual comes with and there is also an extra manual for the Pflueger 1893L that was in the box when we purchased it from an estate sale. Also included is ... morethe hang tag for the reel. The reel has the original Bulldog bag with it. The box comes with as well but it is actually the box for the Pflueger 1893L so please be aware of that(see pic 12) The box is quite shopworn with various issues(see pic 11) This a nice old reel for the collector. Here is an outstanding Pflueger Summit 1993L reel! This is probably the nicest reel I have had in this version. It is cosmetically in amazing condition. It shows very very little wear& really shines with the engraving and red jeweled end-caps. Mechanically is works perfectly. Spins easily, has a strong click, good level wind, and good pawl. So I wouldn't know if all parts are original or not. The reel has a"jewel" at each end, elaborately etched designs, and white plastic handles. The line spool has masking tape around it. When you turn the handle, the reel doesn't go click click click like most and the line feeder is stuck at one side. I would say this reel needs some work. It has the original box with instruction manual. Confo Ring advertisement, Marten's Bobber advertisement and the original receipt dated 1951 from when it was purchased. The reel is in excellent condition and works smoothly. It has very little wear from limited used. No rust or major corrosion. Very shiny nickel silver finish. Highly ornamental engraved design and jeweled oil cups. The box is pretty worn from storage and has 2 torn edges on the cover but the bottom section is intact and when put together the box is perfectly useable for storage or display. Vintage Pflueger Summit Bait Casting FISHING REEL- No. 1993L- Jeweled/Engraved Up for bids is a Pflueger Summit no. 1993L bait casting fishing reel. The reel appears to be functioning properly.clicker button appears to be working and the carriage moves back and forth across the spool smoothly. The end panels and crank handle are engraved. The foot is marked Patented and Pats. Pend. The reel does have some issues: 1. The jeweled end caps have broken jewels. 2. The nickel plating shows some wear and the brass metal most of the reel is made of shows through in some areas. 3. One of the white crank handles has a hairline crack in it.it does not appear to affect the functioning of the handle however. Please see the photographs to determine exactly what you will receive. All are solid. In good used working condition. These were fished with, have the normal wear/imperfections/scratches one would expect. the Supreme has a duller finish and some pitting by weight/look/feel the body appears to be aluminum.
