Vintage PENNELL 'THE TOURNAMENT' Cast'g Reel w/3.5:1 Mult, Clicker, Drag Control
Up for bid is one vintage PENNELL'THE TOURNAMENT' casting reel with clicker. Drag control, 3.5:1 geared multiplier. This reel is in good working condition. It is equipped with a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate, 3.5:1 geared multiplier, and drag control through a slide button on the front cover, all in good working condition. The spool has 80 yards of line capacity. The metal is nickel plated brass as there are small areas of brass showing at the top of the front rim and pillars. The plating is in good condition otherwise. On the front plate it is inscribed with"THE TOURNAMENT" PENNELL" with a logo above the PENNELL name. On the bottom of the foot it is inscribed with"80" The handle has what looks like ivory colored Celluloid knobs. Although the material is not certain. Pennell is a trade ... moremark owned by Edw. K. Tryon Company of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania. Tryon contracted with various reel manufactures and it is not known who manufactured this reel. It measures 2-1/8" diameter. 3-3/4" deep including the handle, pillars are 1-5/8" long, and has a foot measuring 2-9/16" long by 9/16" wide. The reel is in good working condition. It cranks well and has some dirt issues but still looks good. I do not clean items but present as I purchase in the estate sales. Up for your consideration is a vintage Pennell fishing reel with outside pillars. This reel looks to be in good used condition. Other than how it looks. I know little about it. It has a clicker button that works but sounds weak and a drag button that also functions. It measures 2-1/8" in overall height. The reel seat alone is 2-1/2" long. On the bottom of the foot it is inscribed with"40" This reel and several others plus several old lures were found in an old tackle box. I will be listing many of these items over the next few weeks. Pennell The Tournament Vintage Brass casting reel and Unmarked Raised cage Reel
Two cool looking Vintage Brass fishing reels with the remains or the fishing poles still attached as they were found on the lake bottom. The unmarked raised cage reel turns well and has good click marked 60 under saddle. Brass on pole is embossed with LUCKIE. The Pennell trademarked reel THE TOURNAMENT marked 60 under the saddle. Is missing the crank, turns, but has no click.

LQQK 4ea Vintage PENNELL Casting Reels Great Condition !!
This auction lot is for all four(4) of the vintage Pennell reels as shown. There is a 100yd"The Tournament" with click and drag. And has nice old line.works strong. Then there is a 60 yd"Quadruple" with click and drag, with old line, with the clicker being a bit weak sounding. Next is a 60 yd"Peerless" with click and drag, all working well, and last is a 60 yd raised pillar model with click only. All four reels are complete. Working good, and just need minor cleaning. Pretty much a great start to a classic Pennell reel collection. Well-packed ship weight is 2 pounds Please see my other auctions.
