The line guide, worm gear, and pawl all tracks back fourth properly. Clicker button engages and disengages properly. The knobs on the handle are free to turn. The reel is complete no missing or broken parts. Reel looks used. Minor scratches. Comes from a smoke free environment. Vintage Shakespeare #1950 Direct Drive EH Level Wind Casting Reel w/ Box 1963
This is a vintage Shakespeare No. 1950 Direct Drive Model EH level-wind. Casting reel in the original box. The EH dates this model to 1963. The reel is in excellent condition. The handle and level-wind move smoothly and the clicker is strong. One side plate tear drop ahape and is 2 3/4" long. The other plate is 2 1/4" in diameter. The box shows minor wear and is solid. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I sell a wide range of mostly older and used items but I'm not an expert. I do my best to describe things as accurately as I can. This is a Pflueger NOBBY#1963 bait casting reel cir 1932. Other than normal use ware. There are no cracks,chips or missing parts. Also There is a vintage reel case stamped 20-S. Although this reel was in this case when I purchased this at auction, and does fit well, it may not be the case for this reel. Both appear to be of same vintage case size is 4" tall x 3" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Please see all 12 pictures.
