Up for auction is a very nice vintage Pflueger 1893 Reel. It works and looks great considering its age. Except for some small scratches this reel is very nice. Please consider. Before bidding or buying that the items we sell are NOT NEW. They are purchased from estate sales, garage sales or other outlets for used items. We do not know the history of them or the path they have traveled. We are not an expert on anything, but try to give you an accurate description. This is a vintage Pflueger Akron#1893 casting/fishing reel with cork arbor. This reel spins freely just one spin and the line spooler will go all of the way from one side to the other and then some. It dose need to be cleaned up and you can see in the photos that the handle is bent just a little. One half of the cork arbor is broken in half. Thanks for looking. Return. Vintage Pflueger 1893-L fishing casting reel box & papers incl. VF 1960s lure
Up for auction is a 1965 PFLUEGER NO. 1893L AKRON CASTING REEL with ORIGINAL BOX and PAPERS. This reel appears to never have been used and is in Incredible Shape. Absolutely perfect in every way, smooth operation and the chrome gleams. Red/ Brown(reminds me of cherry coke) handles stand out nicely against the chrome. Please see the photos for further details regarding condition. The paper instructions. Including an exploded view of the reel is also in excellent shape no tears or folds that shouldn't be there. The Box does show some brown staining along the top and sides as well as a bit of wear at hard edges. The bottom portion is still in nice condition, overall still very solid and a great addition to display with. This was a serious and expensive reel for it's day. Vintage Pflueger Akron Casting Reel Model 1893 for bass & fresh water fishing
Up for auction is a recent estate find. This is a vintage Pflueger Akron Model 1893 made in the USA casting reel that has been used but is in excellent condition. There are a couple of scuffs and a little bit of rim rash from use but other than that it is as pictured( I tried to capture all angles in the pictures) The reel functions properly and is a nice clean reel to collect or use. There are 6 patent number listed on the side plate. The reel operates just fine. Take the clicker off and it rotates flawlessly, line guide works = nice old pre WWII collectible reel.
