This is a vintage Pflueger Bond 2000 level wind fishing reel for casting or trolling. The side plates have a diameter of 2 3/4" The reel is in excellent 100% functional and cosmetic condition. Very nice exceptional condition Pflueger Bond reel. Although it has line on it appears new and never seen water. I checked it very carefully and all I could find was a small piece of the chrome on the nut that holds the handle missing. Comes with this black leather zippered pouch. Most all of my listings are antique. Vintage or used items. For that reason they may have a mark or other imperfection. I will mention any major or other distraction that may affect the pricing of the item. I will not mention every very minor item individually but refer the item to a grade of condition. UNLIKE MANY DEALERS I CROP ALL MY PHOTOS SO YOU GET THE BIGGEST VIEW POSIBLE On shipping I do my best to carefully& properly package all items. Description This sale is for one vintage PFLUEGER Bond Reel. It is a#2000-2002. It has a balanced torpedo handle. The plates are bakelite with chrome binding rings. It is excellent for fresh or salt water. Line capacity is 200 yards of 27 lb test braided nylon line or 300 yards of 15lb test monofilament line. It's in very good condition with no cracks or chips in the bakelite. The reel plates/covers measure 2 3/4" in diameter. The reel itself measures about 3" without the chrome crank part. This was a family member who apparently never even used this reel. I could still smell the packing lubricant and the oil paper when I opened the box. I know little about fishing reels but this is really heavy duty. I doubt if they're making them like this anymore. The Phlueger box shows"No. 2000 Bond" made in Akron. Ohio and is dated 1965. Manual reads for both fresh water and salt water fishing equipped with Fast Retrieve, Level Wind, Star Drag, and Free Spool. Lot of 3 vintage Pflueger fishing reels. Supreme Cub No 2542V. Bond No 2955 and And Interocean 1885. Reels left in found condition and all need to be cleaned. Metal shows wear, one reel is missing part of the handle, reels appear to be in good working condition but could possibly need some attention. Vintage Used Pflueger Bond Bull Dog Saltwater Bait Casting Fishing Reel
This is a used vintage Pflueger Bond saltwater fishing reel with the Bull Dog trademark brand marked on the face plate. Made with german silver and 2 ¾ inch bakelite side plates. This is quadruple reel with free spool lever. Pillars are 1 7/8 inches long. Handle nut appears to be a chrome replacement and secures the handle nicely. The reel also has a Pflueger Bull Dog branded leather thumb drag. This 100 yard reel is a desirable reel for collectors. The clicker is strong. And the appearance is very nice. The reel handle is straight The reel winds smoothly and spins easily. This is an excellent reel for collectors of early Pflueger saltwater bait casting reels competing with Shakespeare.
