Here is a vintage canvas fish creel. It is marked THE ARCTICREEL PATENT APPLIED FOR? WELL SOAKED WHILE IN USE. It has a ruler marked from 7 to 12" printed on the front. This measures about 13 1/2" wide and 12" tall. This is sold as-is for display or repair. The plastic on the back has cracks and a piece missing. The inside plastic has tears and cracks. All of the plastic is brittle. There is some rust on the metal parts. The bag has discoloring and a large(1 3/4" tear at the bottom and several small tears on the top flap. This lot includes: Cotton Creel by The Arcticreel. This 18" wide by 11" tall fabric creel is in pretty good shape. It is marked"The Arcticreel. Keep well soaked while in use. Everything appears to be in good working order, the single zipper works well. There are some very small marks and scars and a small cut to the vinyl flap covering the back of the creel, but I believe the flap is only to keep the moisture away from your body and this will work fine for that. A six inch filet knife by J. Marttini out of Finland. This knife and sheath are in great condition. Almost as good as new. antique fly fishing creel Orvis Arcticreel
A very cool piece of fly fishing history this creel is made from light canvas that is intended to be soaked with water to keep the fish cool. A plastic liner(still in great shape) keeps the fish moist and a plastic apron on the back of the creel keeps the fisherman dry. Strap is in very good shape. No holes anywhere other than where they should be(drain grommets in the bottom) and some great stains that are probably from fish.

Very nice Vintage Fishing Creel. This is the Arcticreel. The Original Self-Cooling Creel by the Colorado Tent Co. The material is Scotch Flax. This includes a fishing priest, which is a club used to smack the fish before putting in the creel. The priest was typically weighted on the end, which this one is. The priest was tied to the bag when I got it so I'm including it. The condition is good but it does show wear from use. This would make a fine addition to any collection.
