Being offered this week is a Vintage Wicker& Leather Fly Fishing Trout Creel Basket. This trout creel is in Very nice condition! It is about 14 1/2" long. 6 1/2" deep and 7 1/2" high not including the handle which is 4" high. It has a locking belt buckle at the top door and a leather carrying strap at the back. It also has two belt slits at the back for a shoulder strap if needed. This is a nice addition to any Vintage fishing collection and ready to fish or display! Please see picture for more details. Vintage Antique Leather Split Woven Willow Wicker Fly Fishing Creel Basket VGC
Up for auction is a very nice split willow and leather fishing creel from early 1900's. The only real issue I see with this piece is the leather closure strap is broke. Although it is present and will be included for possible repair. Otherwise the basket is tight with little to no damage. The leather on the rest of the creel looks to be in very good condition as well. Slight discoloration inside on the bottom which just gives it credibility. Good luck.

Fabulous vintage fishing creel in excellent condition. It has a tooled leather shoulder strap with lambswool underneath. The wick and leather trim is all in great shape. The buckles on all the straps work great. The rivets and all the stitching looks solid. This handsome basket would work as a display piece or use it for fishing! SUPER! Near Mint Condition Vintage Split Willow& Leather Fly Fishing Trout Creel. Found in Bozeman. Montana one of the centers of Blue Ribbon Trout Fishing in the World! It is in Amazing Condition- a couple of light stains to the leather but otherwise perfect! Lots of Great Photos to Confirm the Condition! The willow weave is tight and without flaw or damage. The leather is in Great Condition- no tears, rips or cuts of any kind, just the previously mentioned light staining in spots. The Creel is marked on the bottom- 15 MADE IN JAPAN. This Vintage Fishing Creel is a very good size(Rather Large) Approx measurements: 7" 8" Tall and 13" 14" Wide(Measured at Bottom/Base) The material I believe is Wicker(Woven or intertwined wicker) Leather trim along top/front crisscrossed style. There is a leather handle at the top back. Along the top/back section also a ruler. Printed Made in Hong Kong. This Fishing Creel is Vintage(I have owned for at least 15 years and it was Vintage when I bought it) I bought it for a Display Item- I never used it. It appears to more than likely have never been used for its purpose- fishing creel as clean inside. The leather is all intact- not torn. There is some very light rubbing/wear here and there on the leather. Wicker is nice ... morewith very little wear. The top has one wicker piece near the square cut out opening that has come loose and sticking out/up and another wicker that is intact but you can see a split/crack not all the way thru but there so I want to mention. When you open the creel and look at the inside you can see some ends of the wicker sticking out- but not visible on outside. Overall shape of the creel is very nice especially for its age. Plenty of wear left to this fishing creel. This Fishing Creel was displayed in my Non-smoking home for less than 1 year and then it was stored in a box. This old fishing basket is a larger one.16" long and 9" high, 5" deep without the leather pocket. There is hand sewing on it, with leather trim. It looks to be very old and is in rough condition in places, as shown in my pictures. The shoulder strap is missing, the leather handle is there, but torn some from the basket.It was hard to strap closed, due to stiffness and part of the strap missing. It's in need of leather oil. But still a nice piece for decorating, or in the garden, etc.

Vintage Fishing Creel, Wicker and Leather, w/Belt Leather Fly Holder.
For auction is a very nice wicker creel trimmed in leather manufactured in Hong Kong. This is a very collectible item for the avid fly fisherman. I believe the creel could still be used but the straps have become dry rotted. The fleece lined shoulder pad is in good condition and new straps could easily be installed if desired. The creel had a leather belt pouch with a Fleece pad holding a vintage collection of flies. The leather of this pouch is in excellent condition as is the leather trim of the creel. The creel measures approx 13 inches long. 6 1/2 inches high and approx 6 1/2 inches deep. Except for the carrying strap, every thing is in nice used condition. A wonderful find in my Grandmother's basement is this old fishing creel used by my Grandfather when they were first married back in the 40's she says. I am not sure how long it was stored away not in use. It is in nice condition with almost all the wicker intact. I wanted to keep it but just don't have the room to display it. It would look great in any collection of fishing memorabilia or for cabin or house decor. The leather clasp strap is a little worn out however and could use some TLC. It has dirt and old fish gunk I presume in the woven wicker that won't come out even after I cleaned it with a brush. I didn't scrub hard for fear of damaging it so I'm sure it can be cleaned better. This item is in completely original condition with minimal damage to the wicker. I have shown pictures of all sides/bottom. It has wire mesh around the front and part of the sides with metal fish attached to it. Leather closures and a thick heavy shoulder strap. As I do not usually sell fishing related items.and in fact have never sold a creel before, I cannot offer any information about this beauty or give any history to it. Vintage Creel Fly Fishing Wicker Weave Leather Basket Shoulder Strap & Ruler
Up for auction is an early wicker(split willow) weave fly fisherman's fishing creel basket. Complete with original working shoulder straps and leather carry handle. Condition: Shows years of wear and use with wonderful old Patina. No holes. There is dried splitting or small tears on the 2 side edges of the leather holding the cover on. The leather strap for closing is there but the buckle or snap for keeping it closed is missing. The 2 small tie leather straps on the inside cover are broken and the cover closes crooked sometimes. No holes or breaks in the wicker weave on top. Sides, back or bottom. A few broken weaves or splits found only on the inside of cover. The leather carry handle is strong and fastened on very well. It does shows some loose stitches on the sides showing the weave rope inside. All giving this fishing creel plenty ... moreof old character) Please see all pictures for accurate condition(using close up) and ask any questions before bidding. Measures approximately 8" tall with handle. 13" wide on bottom and top is about 5 1/2" wide. Selling exactly As is and As found over 40 some years ago from an old Adirondack Cabin in Bolton Landing. Vintage/Antique Wicker & Leather Fly Fishing Creel Basket w/ pouch British Hong
This is an excellent vintage/antique wicker fishing basket with leather trim and pouch. The wicker has its beautiful. Original warm patina. It measures 15" X 6" base, 12" X 6.5" mouth, and is 7" high. Above the leather 9" ruler you'll see printed, MADE IN BRITISH HONG KONG. I do not have the strap that laces through the back slits. CONDITION It is in excellent antique condition. There are no breaks in the wicker. The only stitching that is missing is the one stitch shown at the beginning of the ruler. The leather is all nicely in tact but is very dry.
