Vintage Cookbook Western Cook Book- 1936 Wood cover. Leather hinge 19 36 Western Cook Book 1936. Wood cover, Kay Morrow, Culinary Arts This cook book has two different titles. On the green paper cover the title is“Western Cook Book. 250 tempting recipes many characteristic northwestern, southwestern and Mexican recipes” On the following title page it reads, Culinary Arts Western Cookery” The 48 page book was compiled and edited by Kay Morrow assisted by Hazel Hemminger with decorations by Warren G. Troutman. It was copyrighted in 1936, apparently as part of a set because it reads“Sept.Oct. 1936. Culinary Art Published on the first of every second month. 15 cents per copy” The book is filled with great recipes and wonderful western themed drawings and captions. There is also a page of narrative for each section. In the vegetable section they ... morediscuss the“new” vegetable globe artichoke which is a novelty and luxury away from the west coast. It also states that zucchini is a squash used almost exclusively in the west. The cook book is covered with a wood cover with leather hinges. The cover has a man wearing a sombrero smoking a cigarette. The inside binding is stapled and seems to be holding together well. The pages are slightly browned. I don’t see any markings or tears. The book measures 9 ¼ by 6 ¾ inches. We are volunteers selling donated books to the“Friends of the Campbell Library” to provide funds to support library services. Vintage Primitive Wood Minnow Bait Box with Original Anchor Rope Leather Hinge
This auction is for a primitive minnow bait box made of wood. Steel mesh, and leather. I do not know when it was made, but it looks similiar to the ones used in Little Egg Harbor in New Jersey when I was a kid. it weighs 3 1/2 pounds, and measures 14 1/4 inches long, 7 inches wide, and roughly 6 1/2 inches tall. The hinges are made of one leather strap that has been cut in two. The rope is almost 4 feet long. All of the nails are tight, and the only piece that can be considered'loose' is the door lock. Vintage Bulova Travel Alarm Clock Germany WORKS Leather Case Hinge Inside Broken
This is a vintage alarm clock that is made in Germany by Bulova. It's a travel alarm that comes in a hard shell case with green leather exterior and brass metal. I wound the clock and monitored it for a day and a half. And it works fine! Keeps time and lasts a long time. I only wound it six short times. The case is in great shape, but the inside hinge that holds the clock so that it pops up in place when opened, is not working. Seems to be missing something. You can manually stand the clock inside and it stays in place. Crystal has only one faint line in it, hardly visible without a magnifying glass. The face is great. The brass framing has some patina spots. Back of the clock is a little loose, looks like three tiny screws missing from the middle, but the back does stay on and it does not affect the performance. The chair spans up/down 7 stairs(works great in a split level home situation) It has a hinge at the bottom of the rail so if there is a door at the bottom landing, the door can be closed. Up for sale is a nice true vintage Ed Bailey Denkert Leather Baseball Catchers Glove. I think it is model 3222. It is hard to make out. Last photo shows the numbers best. From what I was told, this was bought new around 1942 right after the war started. Could have been after the war but this is what I got from my grandfather many years ago. The leather is still in good shape. I have not messed with it. I do not know anything about old leather so I will not oil it. S&H is a flat $8.00 in the USA.

Antique Jewelry Box Leather Ornate Brass Hardware Hinge Handle Needs Restoration
This is an Antique Jewelry box. It measures 7 5/8" x 5" x 3" It is made of wood covered by leather but most of the leather has come off from age or drying out. The top of the box has a couple splits in the wood also. The inside lining has some wear from age but no rips. The jewelry tray also has wear. Mostly from age. All the brass hardware is very ornate with, I think it's called tooling. The handle on the top of the box is very unusual looking. I do not have the key for the lock. This is a Native Indian Antique willow oval hinged basket. It appears to be a Paiute Indian made basket. It features a hinged lid a frayed string closure in the front and a leather strap. It was definitely a utilitarian basket. The patina is beautiful on this basket. The dimensions are 5 1/4" tall and 6 1/2" long and 5 1/4" wide. One of the hinges is broken.it appears to be made of leather. There a couple of places on the back bottom rim where the weaving is fraying or missing also a small willow reed is popping out a bit in the front not really noticeable but important to know. The leather surface is splitting on the top. But it seems to be solid underneath. The interior is insulated with hard leather strips on the front and sides. There is no piece against the back wall. The lid attaches with a brass piano type hinge. The inside of the lid is missing the leather insulator. Most of the Army Green paint is still on the box.
