The leather does have some dark marks and is cracked in several places. Please check out the photos. The buckle over the top will not hold since leather can been cut short. The top wants to stay open but I think can be trained to stay closed again. The handle has significant wear and the leather has worn off in spots. The top flap of the basket does have a measuring ruled on the leather. Please check out the photos, I have take a lot to capture all the wear on this basket. For your consideration is the pictured adjustable welded tubular aluminum back pack frame with padded shoulder straps Frame has long stiff wire pins on both sides holding other pins in place When the stiff wire pins are removed. This allows the removal of thicker side pins for the frame to be expanded to roughly four feet long and allows for a repositioning of an aluminum somewhat tray like piece as shown Frame is in the short position for ease in shipping and measures about 37 inches long by about 16 inches wide Comes with two wide cushioning straps and the padded shoulder straps and a top strap. Bulgarian Army(Soviet Russian Era/ German type) Officer's Dagger. Officer's parade belt, Many Officer's and Soldier's Cockades, Patches, Medals and Decorations, beautiful original red flag. You are bidding for all items seen on the photoses! All included! 100% ORIGINAL PERIOD ITEMS, THESE ARE NOT CHINESE OR CONTEMPORARY JUNK HEAP! This Bulgarian army dagger is identical to the example that is shown on color on page 65 of the Fedurin book. The dagger has gilded brass fittings. The pommel is a square like device with a round top that acts as a tang nut. The top has the Soviet star raised out. The ferrule matches the square like design of the pommel having a slight taper to it. There are two brass strips of decorative metal that run across the obverse and reverse grip. They are inlaid into the grip which appears to be made of ... morea white plastic or celluloid. These metal strips have a pigtail like roped look to them. The crossguard is straight having quillons that go upwards on the right and downwards on the left and they are in a teardrop shape. The scabbard of this example is a nickel-plated steel. It is straigit throughout. The steel shell is fitted with gilded brass mounts. There are three of them. The top mount is decorated with a standing lion positioned over a rising sun and on the reverse there is a government style building with a star at its peak. The center ramp and lower mount are plain but they do have a point at the center of the edges where they meet the scabbard shell. The center and upper mount are equipped with smooth eyelets and there is a chain hanger. The hanger consists of a number of matching metal ringlets which are held together with connector tabs. The two chain assemblies are connected to a matching gilded snap clip at the wearing area. Overall lenght is 35.0 cm. 13.3/4" inches) the blade is 23,5 cm. 9.1/4" inches) The blade is similar to a German naval type except that it has a single fuller instead of dual fullers.
