There's 2 turning closures on the main bag, 2 snap pockets in front, another on the side, also a zipper compartment in the front. There's a removable strap that has some light fading on it. Vintage H.J. Collis Fishing Creel made in USA of canvas and leather with some man made vinyl/fabric edging. 17" long and about 11.5" tall at the tallest part. There is a main compartment and also two pockets that the top flap closes over and snaps onto.The top flap has a 12" ruler printed on it and above the ruler is a small"3Z" A brass zipper on top that is in good shape.Many metal grommets in the bag body that are in very good condition. There is some of the vinyl type edging that has lost some of it's finish. It's still intact but the shiny surface is flaking off. This measures about 13 1/2" wide and 12" tall. This is sold as-is for display or repair. The plastic on the back has cracks and a piece missing. The inside plastic has tears and cracks. All of the plastic is brittle. There is some rust on the metal parts. The bag has discoloring and a large(1 3/4" tear at the bottom and several small tears on the top flap. Vintage classic 1940s Fishing bag with wire mesh bottom A one-family heirloom kept in the closet or a storage box for over 60 years. Authentic one-family heirloom. Grandpa bought it in the 1940s when he wanted to get into trout fishing. That lasted for about 3 years. And about 6-8 fishing trips. It was kept in storage since then. And the only wear is due to storage handling and age. This is a completely original canvas bag with its original strap; it has a wire mesh bottom; it is trimmed with a leather buckle. But the leather thong is missing the tip. There is a front pouch. There are no holes or rips or significant mars. It can be used as an authentic decoration or for retro-fishing. Cloth fishing bag with mesh sides. In the bag are two primitive wooden reels. A"Don Gleason's Canoe Carrying Bag" a large net(I haven't unrolled the net, so I can't speak to its condition or exact size) and a fish filet temperature guide. The bag measures about 14" long and 9" tall. The bag and contents have a slight musty smell to be expected of old fishing supplies. I personally don't find it bad enough to be an issue. But it is worth noting.
