There's 2 turning closures on the main bag, 2 snap pockets in front, another on the side, also a zipper compartment in the front. There's a removable strap that has some light fading on it. Condition is excellent, there's evidence of use but its been well cared for. The only issue is one of the grommets from one of the turning snaps has come loose(see pics for details) It's an easy fix for its next owner. This old fish bag/pack came from an estate sale where the man said his dad used this fishing in Michigan and it was handed down to him where he kept some gear and fish he was catching. Of course. This is an old canvas and wooden fishing creel. It measures 24 1/2 inches from top of strap to bottom. The wooden box measures 9 1/2 inches by 7 inches. The straps are 2 inches wide. The inside of the wooden box is divided into 6 compartments. On the back side of the flap. The numbers L-18-40-1426-A are stamped. It is in very good condition for it's age. The black line/space you see one the bottom and lid of the box is part of the original box. It looks as if two pieces of wood were used for both the top and the bottom of the box. I have found very few on the internet and have not been able to find out much about it. From what I have found I believe it to be English but can not be sure. The bottom is wicker with wood braces inside giving it a sturdy frame. It sits on four very small wooden feet. It has a tin tray in the top for storage as you can see in pictures. I have seen others which have a second wooden tray for tackle which this one did not come with or is missing. The top is particle board covered with a padded vinyl like material with tacks on the side as you can see in pictures.It is in very good condition overall with just a couple of minor splinters in the wicker as you can see in pictures. Vintage Wicker Fishing Creel Leather Hinges Canvas Strap EXC COND
This is a vintage wicker creel. With leather hinges as pictured and a canvas strap attached(as pictured too) There are also openings in the back for another strap. It measures approx. 16" x 9" x 9-1/2 tall" It's in excellent condition, with only one*partial* break in the wicker(as pictured! and otherwise beautiful, tight weaving throughout. The stitching is in perfect shape. There is a little bit of residue, like maybe salt residue on the leather, but otherwise it's all clean. The strap drop is 22" from peak of strap to top of lid) and looks newer than the creel itself. A nice heavy canvas fishing creel. Rectangular shape measuring 11 inches long by 9 inches high by 4 1/2 wide. This creel is in great shape with brass zippered closings. It has a zippered outside pouch and a inside pouch in addition to the creel basket. The creel has a screen bottom and screen ends. The shoulder strap is in good condition and also has a waist strap to keep the creel close to the body and out of the way. A good example of a typical inexpensive fishing creel used in Montana in the 40's. 50's and 60's. I have other canvas creels of the same vintage so be sure to check those out too. Nice old canvas fishing creel in good shape. It measures 14 inches wide by 11 inches tall. Rounded bottom with an inner pouch. The green canvas shoulder strap is solid and strong. It has a leather closing strap with a metal buckle. The leather is a little stiff but could be made pliable again easily. The screen is double stitched in place and well secured so none of your catch would slip away. About 2 1/2 inches of piping has un-stitched beneath the leather closing strap of the bags closing flap. A good example of a typical inexpensive fishing creel used in Montana in the 40's. 50's and 60's. It is in"found" condition. Vintage Danielson Canvas Fishing Creel's with FREE Self Inflating Duck Decoy
This is a nice vintage pair of"Danielson" brand Canvas Fishing Creels. There are two different sizes. One about 16" and the other 13" The larger one appears to be newer than the large one. I am not sure of the material it is made out of, it almost appears to be like a nylon/ canvas like material. The small one appears to be canvas, but I know nothing about material and I could be mistaken. Both are in good shape, the big one a little better. There is a 1" tear on the back of the small one. There is an old fishing license in the small one from Idaho dated 1997. Also included is an"Original Deeks" Self Inflating Duck Decoy. Just drop it on the water and Presto! it;s inflated. Vintage old Fishing Creel Wicker Woven Basket Canvas Strap Primitive Piece
This Creel is in good condition overall the basket itself is very good but there is some flaws to the accessories. The strap is held on to the basket with wicker ties and on one side of the basket the tie was brittle and broke off(please see picture) The decorative V banding that goes around the creel is made of wood veneer and it is cracked in a couple spots and has a broken off spot on the back(please look at the pictures) The whole on the top is a small 1 X 1 and would only fit a small fish maybe like a smelt. The Basket is full size and measures 12.5 X 10 X 10 inches. I will combine shipments for a discount on shipping if items are combined into one invoice. Sturdy condition and leather is well worn and weathered with front pouch deteriorated and a broken loop handle. It was last used with a green canvas& leather strap that it is equipped with and it also comes with two(2) additional leather straps. The creel measures 13" by 6" at the bottom and 9 1/2" high. The lid is 9 1/2" by 5 1/2" I have lots of nice memories of trout fishing California's High Sierras with my Dad and this old creel.

This measures about 13 1/2" wide and 12" tall. This is sold as-is for display or repair. The plastic on the back has cracks and a piece missing. The inside plastic has tears and cracks. All of the plastic is brittle. There is some rust on the metal parts. The bag has discoloring and a large(1 3/4" tear at the bottom and several small tears on the top flap. This is a very large fishing creel. It measures 8 inches tall by 10 inches deep by 15 inches wide. I am not sure what brand it is or where it was made. It has only been used for decoration and there is some hot glue residue inside on the bottom of the basket. It can be removed. The lid is attached by green canvas and the 48" adjustable strap is also made of canvas. The opening in the lid is 2 1/2" squared. I'm not sure how old it is or if all the straps around it are made of leather or not. It looks like leather to me. Please examine the pictures closely. It is a very nice woven basket creel. The wicker is very lightly colored and accented with color trim near top and bottom all the way around to add just a touch of character. Leather straps are used for lid hinges. The hook for the closure is made with a wooden carved brightly painted fish. There are two wood carved beautifully painted fish which dangle to the side on the front. The strap. Old canvas and leather 4 compartment fishing creel. It has a canvas strap for over the shoulder use and one for around the waste. Has four compartments. 1 large one for your fish and three smaller ones for your gear. The large one for your fish can be removed by disconnecting it from the buttons that hold it in place. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE WICKER FISHING CREEL All original with minimal breaks in wicker. Leather strap fastener with metal decoration and metal turn-key lock closure which still works. Leather needs a thorough cleaning-the metal embellishments on fastener. Buckles on strap and rivets need polishing/cleaning. Base of Creel is 12.5" x 4.75" and 8.25" tall. There is is chain on back.
