Being offered this week is a Vintage Wicker& Leather Fly Fishing Trout Creel Basket. This trout creel is in Very nice condition! It is about 14 1/2" long. 6 1/2" deep and 7 1/2" high not including the handle which is 4" high. It has a locking belt buckle at the top door and a leather carrying strap at the back. It also has two belt slits at the back for a shoulder strap if needed. This is a nice addition to any Vintage fishing collection and ready to fish or display! Please see picture for more details. Vintage Antique Leather Split Woven Willow Wicker Fly Fishing Creel Basket VGC
Up for auction is a very nice split willow and leather fishing creel from early 1900's. The only real issue I see with this piece is the leather closure strap is broke. Although it is present and will be included for possible repair. Otherwise the basket is tight with little to no damage. The leather on the rest of the creel looks to be in very good condition as well. Slight discoloration inside on the bottom which just gives it credibility. Good luck.

Vintage Wicker & Leather Fly Fishing Trout Creel Basket with Shoulder Strap
Fabulous vintage fishing creel in excellent condition. It has a tooled leather shoulder strap with lambswool underneath. The wick and leather trim is all in great shape. The buckles on all the straps work great. The rivets and all the stitching looks solid. This handsome basket would work as a display piece or use it for fishing! The approximate measurements are 17" wide at the widest point x 8" tall x 6 1/2" from front to back. On Feb-06-13 at 09:45:32 PST. Vintage Wicker Fishing Creel Basket w/ Tackle This is a very nice fishing basket and all the gear pictured comes with it. It measures: 9" high x 11" wide x 6 1/4" deep. It is in very good condition. Solid& sturdy. The basket closure strap is a fish head& body. The head has'PAT 66289' on it. There are a few broken strands/connectors. That hold the lid on to its rim, see pictures. Also a few broken strands/connectors. On the basket part, holding the basket to the rim. The 2 leather straps holding the lid to the basket are good. The basket weveing is very tight and strong. It comes with leather straps and metal closer works well. Tail is off fish body but is included. As is all the tackle pictured. This auction features a Vintage Wicker with Leather trim Fishing Creel. I don't know the age of this basket. Looks to be fairly old to me. The basket is primarily wicker with leather trim and a canvas shoulder strap. The shoulder strap does not connect to one side, bit is present. The leather does have some dark marks and is cracked in several places. Please check out the photos. The buckle over the top will not hold since leather can been cut short. The top wants to stay open but I think can be trained to stay closed again. The handle has significant wear and the leather has worn off in spots. Up for auction is a very old fishing creel. There is a anchor mark on the brass buckle and something stamped into the strap but I can't read it. It is 6.5" tall and 9" wide at the base. Leather is in very good condition. There is on break in the wicker on the back going around the frame. Most of the brass and rivets are greening or oxidizing. Beautiful piece for use or display.

SUPER! Near Mint Condition Vintage Split Willow& Leather Fly Fishing Trout Creel. Found in Bozeman. Montana one of the centers of Blue Ribbon Trout Fishing in the World! It is in Amazing Condition- a couple of light stains to the leather but otherwise perfect! Lots of Great Photos to Confirm the Condition! The willow weave is tight and without flaw or damage. The leather is in Great Condition- no tears, rips or cuts of any kind, just the previously mentioned light staining in spots. The Creel is marked on the bottom- 15 MADE IN JAPAN. The Strap is also Great. It has inches marked off on the top back of the creel for measuring the catch. One nearly identical just sold for $200 on Ebay but this one is even better. This vintage Fisherman's Creel is made of wicker and has a leather/metal closing fish strap and leather hinges. The condition is excellent. There are no breaks in the wicker and the leather strap and hinges are also in great shape. This basket does not have a strap. The fish head is a little dull but I did not want to clean it in fear that I would ruin it. It measures 13" across the bottom base. 10" across the top by 5" wide, about 6 1/2" tall in back and 5" tall in front. this old fishing basket is 14 1/2" wide at the bottom and 8" high. It looks very old and has some hand sewing on it. On the leather. There are snaps on the pocket pouch. The shoulder strap is missing, and there is just one leather loop at the back. It is in need of leather polish, as it is stiff and was hard to get the lid down. There is some wear on it as you can see in my photos. But it would look nice as decoration, maybe with a plant in it? You are bidding on a vintage original antique Wicker Fishing Creel. The woven wicker creel has a wooden closure. The should strap is made of leather and a canvas material. It shows age and looks original. It measures about 12" wide. 6 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" deep. Overall the condition is very nice however there is small damage on the one corner and it is missing one piece on the front of the woven wicker(see photos) The leather strap has a cracked piece from age, but appears to be complete. Vintage Antique Wicker & Leather Fly Fishing Creel ~ Larger Old Creel Basket
This old fishing basket is a larger one.16" long and 9" high, 5" deep without the leather pocket. There is hand sewing on it, with leather trim. It looks to be very old and is in rough condition in places, as shown in my pictures. The shoulder strap is missing, the leather handle is there, but torn some from the basket.It was hard to strap closed, due to stiffness and part of the strap missing. It's in need of leather oil. But still a nice piece for decorating, or in the garden, etc.

The metal stud that holds the handle has come out of place in the rear of basket. The buckle is missing from the front. The leather appears to have sueded over time. This auction is for a Pre-owned but never used or displayed 1996 Fly-Fishing Wicker Creel or Fishing Basket. This wicker basket is in perfect condition with leather trim and a 47 1/2" adjustable strap. The closure is a twist lock. It has a drop slot in the upper right hand corner. The basket is 9 1/2" long. 6 1/2" deep and 5 1/4" high. It has no broken wicker. The strap and lock are also in excellent shape. It has a flat back and oval body( sides and front) I have enclosed pictures of all angles including the bottom, to show the condition. This was initially purchased as a decorative item, but our decorating for a family room took a different direction before we used this. It has been stored in a box in a closet since 1996. Lid has a readable 9" leather measuring scale sewn in trim- no missing or torn leather trim- you can tell it was quality made. Stamped in leather No 15 Made in Hong Kong. Keep as the used vintage look or use a cleaning conditioner to brighten it up- either way it is a great item for your collection. This vintage fishing creel has seen lots of fish! In vintage condition. Shows much use and wear. But, basket area has no major breaks or cracks. Leather in medium condition- could use some conditioning/cleaning. Back leather handle is there, but, needs repair. Front lower strap missing. Long leather and canvas shoulder strap attached. Also not sure of the exact age. See More Pictures Below* Condition: Creel is in fairly good condition for its age. It has clearly seen a lot of use. But has held up quite well! Leather around edges of creel. The pocket in front, the flaps for closing the piece, and the shoulder strap show wear and age. The leather shows marks and discoloration, and is warped- particularly the front pocket and strap. The weaving is in good condition overall- broken in a few small areas on the bottom. And poking through in two places near the fish slot on the top ... morepiece. Leather on closure of front pocket is torn and the hardware there is no longer functional as buckle. The leather on the back edge has two places where there is wear or where there were once maybe straps of some kind. The inside of the creel is in nice condition.
