This creel came from the collection of a wealthy sportsman's private game ranch home/cabin. This is a wonderful pre-owned vintage fishing creel. It appears to be very old and has definitely seen better days. The bottom portions of the basket are very sound. The lid is more aged and shows some breakage of weave. But for its age is rather good. Please see pictures. The latch is missing. The leather strap is included but is very weak and broken in a few pieces. It was in and comes from a smoke free home. VINTAGE FISHING CREEL - TIGHT WEAVE - EASY FIX + PRICED 2 SELL
I got this at an estate sale and just passing it along to someone out there in Ebayland who really wants a good deal. The creel appears to be quite old and the weave is real small and tight with no breaks or holes guaranteed. It's the leather straps that are the problem. 2 issues to be aware of: the top is missing one piece of leather that holds it to the basket[ pic 8] and the second issue is the shoulder strap. It is broken in 2 places and needs a good fix. The creel measures 13" by 7" by 9" tall. If you are not 100% happy then send it back for a full refund. Guaranteed. Up for bid is this very old fishing creel. It shows a lot of wear but would look great as a shelf sitter. The weave of the wicker is very tight and interesting looking. Some damage around the hole in the lid. Measures about 14"x8"x6" The front leather strap has fallen off and is located inside the basket now.
