Hardy Altex No 2 Mark 4 classic reel, really excellent, collectable and useable!
Here we have a really nice used example of the classic Hardy Altex No2 Mk4(IIII) fixed spool reel. Lovely high quality vintage item. I read lots of Chris Yates and decided to try these beautifully engineered reels. It's great to use and stands up to modern equivalents really well. I just prefer my old Abu Cardinal from the 1970's. So rather than leave this sitting in the bag, it ought to go to someone else who will make good use of it. Just a few items to show for it's age and use on this smooth working example. With front drag control. The front retaining screw looks to have been(very well) altered at some stage, perhaps the original thread was stripped? The reel foot appears to have been very slightly shortened at the back, again you'd have to look closely. The bail arm is very crisp and works as it should. This model has ... moreno anti-reverse. Some people prefer being able to backwind as well as use the excellent variable clutch. Just as it should be for catching fish. Or for the collector.

vintage early spitfire finish fly reel, vgc , made in england
selling a nice vintage early spitfire finish fly reel in very nice clean condition and in perfect working order in every way. Bakealite Trotting reel with line guard, Milward, Allcocks
Very rare bakealite reel that looks like a trotting reel it has the RARE pink ceramic line guard. A similar line guard was sold by Allcocks in their 1937 catalogue see photo number 5, but the Allcocks has the later fitted support bar on. The earlier models. As this one is, the support bar was not fitted. It is also very very similar to the Milwards float rover trotting reel and there should be some on ebay. There are no makers stickers as the Milwards usually have. So maybe it came off. This reel is in EXCELLENT condition. There are NO cracks, chips or scratches and looks to be very little used. A rare opportunity to aquire a specimen trotting reel.

This Vintage Caravelle 100 Closed Face Spin Cast reel is in Vey Good Working Condition and shows very little signs of wear.It has some paint loss from normal use and the front cover that has had a fresh coat of paint. It was recently imported from the US and was only used in Fresh water and shows no signs or corrosion and would stand any test. It has mono line and tested perfectly, therefore should give many years of trouble free fishing. A great one to Use or Collect. Made in Japan it is a copy of the ABU 170`s or similar.
