This large antique Allcocks fishing reel I think dates from between 1880 and 1900. for sale here is a very good and very rarely seen original abu garcia sweden cardinal 152 spinning reel. a very nice vintage Mitchell Pre 300 fishing reel half bail 3rd Version S/N A68806 from the 1950.S Pre 300 it also comes with a rare early box top it has some stains rubs scratches and some wear to the edges however the box is good and strong and has the handle holder still inside overall good condition and the bottom box in poor condition and is missing the reel insert portion the reel does show some wear it has some paint rubs to the rotor foot lower case a small dint on the front of the spool i will supply a good used spool in place of the dinted one the handle knob stuck from turning appears to be from lack of use this aside the reel looks a treat and operates fine it is in excellent condition and would make a very nice addition to any Mitchell reel collection.

Rare Early Vintage - Mitchell Half Bail Fishing Reel 7 on foot
Mitchell Half Bail Fishing Reel with Early spool. The gear that drives the spool holder is Aluminium not brass. So that part is early. The handle is fairly good with a plastic twist handle. I can see no serial number on the foot or back of the body and can not date it in the normal way there is a 7 on the foot. I have included lot`s of photo`s so you can see the condition. It has been serviced and operates smoothly and could be used to fish with. The bail arm chrome is fairly pitted and poor. The body paintwork is worn in lots of places, there seems to be a red undercoat. It is a nice working and complete half bail reel. Which is probally 60 plus years old and as such fairly reasonable. T he body and spool holder has very little paintwork missing. A small amount on the foot and base see photo`s, the red band is intact, the cover plate is in a nice condition. The bail chrome is very nice and bright. The anti reverse works as it should and is the silent type. The winding arm works as it should. The handle is complete and in good condition. 1930's Vintage Alvey Cedar & Chrome Spool Star Drag 4 1/2" Fishing Reel
I have a 1930's RARE vintage cedar Spool with chrome backing plate inside chrome over brass backing plate& Back Plate with Brass ratchet buttons on top at sides. It is 4 1/2" ALVEY Star Drag fishing reel in good working condition(except it needs the spring to operate the drag& ratchet which are complete but need the springs. The cedar spool is attached to the chrome over brass backing as per photo's which forms part of my description. The chrome will clean up very easily as it is not pitting it still has some fish grime which has not been cleaned off properly when polished. These alvey fishing reels are getting very RARE to find especially in this condition. It has no cracks or splits to cedar spool. I combine postage for multiple items. wait for the invoice) This is a genuine Bakelite Australian made Alpha fishing reel. It has all the bits. The ratchet works as does the original reel drag. I pulled it apart so you could see the inside of the reel. There are no bits missing. But there is some plating damage. Inside it says it is made by M.B. Wragg Gardenvale Vic. Australia. It is the narrow 4" reel type. The Bakelite looks to be in exceptional condition. Postage is $8.50 Australia wide. Vintage ambassadeur 5000c, 4 screw version. foot number 34686. a super chance to add to your vintage reel collection here with this very early ambassadeur dating from the 1960's. Superb working order. Still a great smooth reel to fish with but probably destined for the cabinet. Lovely chrome sits well against the black side plates and handle, smooth clutch and tough gearing allow you to play your catch, whilst the stainless bearings allow for some smooth casting. Dual tension control aids casting too whatever the conditions or lure size. The chrome is in very good clean condition, the plates have had scattered wear sympathetically touched in to avoid future issues. Once again a great reel to fish or collect.
