A classic blue Garcia Mitchell Match L high speed auto fishing reel with torpedo handle. This reel is the rarer Match L that is held in the left hand and reeled with the right hand. The serial number is unclear. Stainless steel screws on the cover plate. The paint is missing in various places. It has been well used. The reel has a shallow match spool fitted. The bailarm. A early Mitchell 3-0-1 Fishing Reel with the logo upside down. The boomerang anti reverse type: The serial number looks like 2686413 between 1959 and 1960 the number is on the foot T he paintwork looks original with some general small paint losses on the foot. And spool holder, overall its in a good used condition. The bail arm chrome is fairly bright and with some marks and signs of use. The anti reverse works as it should. The winding arm works as it should. The handle is complete and in a fairly worn condition and looks like its been gripped in a vice, its loose due to age, but functions like it should. T he paintwork looks original with some general small paint losses on the foot. And spool holder, overall its in a good used condition. This rare Mahseer alloy and brass fishing reel I had a few of these very interesting reels in my collection many years ago, basically the alloy parts were made in Allcock's of England and them shipped to India, there the brass parts were hand finished and fitted to make the reel, the brass is always of a rougher finish than the English made alloy, the reels are also very sturdy for the fishing to which they are subjected can be harsh, this reel measures 3-1/2" diameter, 2" wide, face plate with twin ex long ebonite handles and central drum screw, brass pillars and one piece foot block, ratchet on off check button to backplate, superb smooth check clicker and unlike others Ive had this is in superb condition, fully working and showing no signs or corrosion, distortion or damage, dating c 190-1920 a great ... morereel for the collector,
